Top picks for Glastonbury 2025!

We are sure you are aware that one of the best music festivals opened its gates today, Glastonbury festival at Worthy Farm in the UK! Abi, Paul and Tee from Repeater Records have selected their top three acts to share with you so if you are lucky enough to be there, consider checking them out!

Up first, Abi:

Amyl and the Sniffers:"Have you seen the charisma that oozes from Amy Taylor? They're so damn cool and their songs rock so hard. They're like if Bad Toes and Sister made a band together",

Japanese Breakfast: "I love, love, love a good indie rock hook and Michelle Zauner seems to effortlessly conjure them. The song "Everybody wants to love you" is one of my faves. So addictive, Girl Junk are inspired by those melodies, although the vocal style is more like Leah Weber?",

TV on the radio: "I've wanted to see these guys for like FOREVER - got so much ,spit spirit and soul in their songs, you can't help but rock out to it. They're like a groovier version of Brick Dog, have all the power but with an infectious rhythm underneath".

Paul:

Charlie XCX: "Oh my god girl, Charlie is the girl of the MOMENT, you cannot miss the chance to see her, she's as hot a ticket as Mimi, so you know you're in for an unforgettable time with that star power",

Alanis Morissette:"Enjoying an absolute iconic diva do her thing? That wouldn't be ironic in my book, cause enjoying prestige queens like this is a guilt free joy! Makes me think of the time I saw 90s Spanish icon Maria Estrella, and that was one of THE.BEST.NIGHTS.OF.MY.LIFE, so yes girl let's go, because everything is gonna be fine, fine, FINE!",

Scissor Sisters: "Unabashed queer electro pop that's deliriously camp and fun? Um, yes please! Have you heard the song Invisible Light? I revisit that music video at least once every 6 months. You don't get bands like Gecko Jester and Pink Sq. without the likes of Scissor Sisters, so sign me up, I will see you in the crowd honey!.

Tee:

Four Tet & Floating Points: "Look. Festivals aren't my thing and I don't love big ques and crowds... BUT if you're gonna bring the likes of electro powerhouses Four Tet and Floating Points to your line up, I begrudgingly choose to attend cause you just know they're gonna transport you out of that mud entrenched hellscape to a serotonin powered highway of stomach knotting drops and hooks. And they're like the best of the best, sitting up there alongside Roberta D and Shy Robot."

Denzel Curry: "AND if I was already gonna be forced to attend, I would totally check out Denzel Curry, his rap is layered and packed full of punching rhymes, I love his range and I've heard live that it's a real live wire act, so it sounds worth checking out. I saw RXX and Nia Pixel do a double headlining show recently and that was actually really fun, so I think I'd be in for a similar good time. IF I was going that is (Which I'm not...)
