WAKFU: Season 5 – Kickstarter

A fate thought to be sealed, a story that awakens…

After years of conflict, newly forged legends and shared emotions, the The Brotherhood of the Tofu believed its final chapter had been written, its story ending with the defeat of the Necros. We thought so too. But in the shadows, an unexpected event came to pass.

A mysterious character resurfaced, caught between two worlds, trapped in ice and engrossed with his thoughts: Count Harebourg. It was thought he was had been lost during the fall of Oropo's Dimension, but he escaped the clutches of death. The Eliacube had decided otherwise. Freed and exalted by immense powers, his designs are far from peaceful…

Long dormant under the ice, he is going to turn our heroes' adventure on its head.

Kickstarter Campaign

In 2020, thanks to YOU, we were able to self-produce WAKFU Season 4. Almost 18,000 backers answered the call, raising nearly 1.5 million euros. An exceptional amount – a European record – and, above all, clear proof of your fondness for the Brotherhood of the Tofu!

Today, we are no longer on our own.

Our partner, France Télévisions, told us they would like to join us on one last adventure with the Brotherhood, the very last, the "very, very last." Who could turn down one last adventure, on screen, for our beautiful band of heroes? We're promising you twenty-six (26) all-new episodes, twenty-six episodes showing the best of what we have to offer: our passion for art, storytelling and creativity. This last season is going to be a veritable ode to WAKFU's legacy.

Thanks to our partners and regional support, a portion of the project is already financed. This will cover about 50-60% of the cost, and we are assuming the rest. It costs about €500,000 to produce one episode, so the total budget for the final season is 13 million euros.

You support remains essential, so that is why we are launching a Kickstarter campaign.

By backing this project, you will help us keep Ankama Animations independent and become co-producers of WAKFU Season 5! In addition, you'll receive some carefully crafted rewards for being such amazing fans – and, let's be honest too, we love to spoil you…

Depending on the tiers reached, we'll be taking things even further, with bonuses such as a special episode, or even a mini-series about the adventure and relationship of two characters whose story deserves to be explored and told…
