Wavecraft Legends changes
Greetings everyone!
Before the big news—a huge thank you to everyone who downloaded the demo and left feedback. Seeing it hit Steam's "New & Trending" list was a great moment for us. Keep the comments coming on our dedicated Steam discussion page or at hello@polygonmyth.com .
Kickstarter Incoming
So, you're probably asking: another indie game Kickstarter? In a sea of indie game pitches, we believe Wavecraft Legends stands out because it fills a void for a fun, thrilling arcade aquatic racer with a retro soul. But, beyond just pitching a concept, we've worked hard to build a great foundation for an actual game. No empty promises—a real, tangible piece of work you can try for yourself today. We've dedicated nearly a year to build all the major racing systems and mechanics, including:
the water/wave physics
competitive AI opponents
unique driving profiles for each character
racing regulations and penalties
floating buoys and obstacles
breakable objects
weather and wave conditions that directly impact racing
As a result, we are confident that the core gameplay is in a playable, stable, and fun state. This is where Kickstarter comes in. With all this in place, we're hoping to find a greater community of people who are interested in this project so we can continue with confidence that there's an audience for the game and some additional financial backing to help us cross the finish line. Plus, this is also a way we can reward early adopters—by giving them goodies (like a 30% discount!) that are exclusive to the campaign.
So, if you wish to support the project now or would like to check it again when it launches, be sure to hit the "Notify" button on our Kickstarter pre-launch page.
Looking forward to seeing you on the waves!
