Wastenauts changes
Dive down for the hardest Wastenauts content yet. The Tunnels are now open in the playtest!
The Tunnels
Deep beneath the ground, large groups of Scavs have sought refuge in networks of connected sewer and utility tunnels. Societies have banded together, clans have formed. But something is happening, and the residents are fleeing in droves. Whatever has taken up residence down there isn’t going to leave willingly.
Access to the Tunnels requires beating the Dunes on Story Mode. The recommended level is 7, but try it out at 3. I dare you.
The Tunnels includes several new monsters, new event cards, a new pool of event cards for adventure mode, a new boss, and several new mechanics. NEW NEW NEW Y’ALL.
New Keyword: Disrupt
Disrupt forces a monster to change its currently queued up action. Whenever you disrupt a monster, it’s action list advances to the next action immediately (or loops back around if it’s at the end). It might be obvious, but disrupt doesn’t do anything to monsters that only have one action.
Right now, this new keyword can be found on Disruption Bits, which will add this effect to your attack card. But we’ll be adding it throughout the game as development continues!
New Keyword: Silence
Silence is a negative status that can be applied to characters. It prevents the use of all ability cards - particularly nasty for characters like Jack and Delilah. Each stack of silence ticks down after a turn, so when a monster casts Silence[3] you won’t be able to use ability cards for 3 turns.
New Keyword: Panic
Panic is a status designed to amplify the negative effects of Out After Dark. When a character is panicked, they cannot end their turn if they have any draws remaining. This is particularly nasty for Andrea trying to stack Grab & Go, or weak parties trying to avoid an upcoming tough fight.
This keyword isn’t removed until you make it back to camp. To be clear, that means if you stay Out After Dark, you’ll still be panicked the next day.
New Keyword: Flip
Flip causes the card to….flip over. Wait, there’s something on the back of those cards??
