Hello, hello, hello! You might have guessed it: summer is upon us (in certain locations where Eugen members work, with a burning ferocity!).

addedBefore we leave, we wanted to give you a heads-up on what we are working on and what to expect in the very near future for WARNO (and yes, this does mean new WARNO content!).
changedhttps://store.steampowered.com/app/4639630/WARNO__Nemesis_8__Schools_Out/
addedWARNO - Tropic Storm Expansion Detailed Next up is WARNO - Tropic Storm , the next major expansion with its brand-new theatre of operations, the Caribbean and South America. WARNO - Tropic Storm gives you access to 6 new divisions and 4 new nations , plus an arsenal of new units, models, weapons, new terrain sets , and maps , and more. And equally important: it will contain 1 new Army General campaign, Cuba Libre! (read more here ).
changedFuture Content for WARNO After the above, we have a couple of other interesting projects being worked on in Eugen’s workshop.
addedWARNO: Black Birds The future major Tribute-style expansion coming to WARNO (so the focus will be on divisions, but no Army General campaign or Operations) is WARNO - Black Birds . It will feature 8 new divisions and 5 new nations historically outside of either NATO or the Warsaw Pact, or otherwise very reluctantly part of either alliance.
addedIn our alternative World War III history, each of these nations has picked a side, which allowed us to feature new and interesting (and rare) equipment. You guys have already correctly guessed the nations, being Switzerland and Austria (for NATO), and Hungary and Albania (for the Warsaw Pact). The mysterious fifth is still waiting to be revealed…

You might have guessed it: summer is upon us (in certain locations where Eugen members work, with a burning ferocity!). And that means that we’ll have a break in our regular DevBlog schedule until September.

Before we leave, we wanted to give you a heads-up on what we are working on and what to expect in the very near future for WARNO (and yes, this does mean new WARNO content!).

Let’s go.

Nemesis #8 - School’s Out! First things first (and very nearly around the corner) is the launch of Nemesis - School’s Out!. This mini-DLC is the most recent community-voted Nemesis to get its public release, and features two unique WARNO divisions: the West German Verfügungstruppenkommando 42 and the Soviet 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya.

Read more about the original proposal of Nemesis #8 - School’s Out! in the following DevBlog.

Updates to the West German arsenal of VfgTrpKdo 42 can be read here, while changes to the Soviet roster of 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya can be gleaned here.

Nemesis #8 - School’s Out!’s release date is almost upon us. Keep an eye out!

WARNO - Tropic Storm Expansion Detailed Next up is WARNO - Tropic Storm, the next major expansion with its brand-new theatre of operations, the Caribbean and South America. WARNO - Tropic Storm gives you access to 6 new divisions and 4 new nations, plus an arsenal of new units, models, weapons, new terrain sets, and maps, and more. And equally important: it will contain 1 new Army General campaign, Cuba Libre! (read more here).

Check out all the Division previews for WARNO - Tropic Storm below:

  • First up is the Western-aligned U.S. 4th Marine Division earmarked for the Cuban invasion. Check out all the details in this preview here.

  • The Communist-aligned Cuban 1a División de Tanques gets its place in the tropical sun in this detailed preview.

  • The combined U.S.-Colombian division 7th Infantry Division (Light) also contains a hefty covert CIA contingent. Read more about it in this DevBlog here.

  • The “red” Venezuelan IV División de Infantería receives its preview in this dedicated DevBlog.

  • Newly minted Brazilian allies deploy the mobile 3ª Divisão de Exército as part of the Western-aligned battlegroup. Read more about this division and the prolific Brazilian armaments industry in this DevBlog.

  • The last of the Venezuelan divisions, the I División de Infantería, is previewed in this in-depth DevBlog here.

WARNO - Tropic Storm is in active development. We are getting closer to launch, but a release date is still a little bit too early to share. When we have more certainty, you’ll be the first to know!

Future Content for WARNO After the above, we have a couple of other interesting projects being worked on in Eugen’s workshop.

Nemesis #9 We are never done with Nemesis DLCs (or Nemesis DLCs are never done with us), so we are already laying the groundwork for Nemesis #9. This particular offering will be one chosen by Eugen. We do this to speed up development work, as we rotate between one Nemesis DLC voted on by you, and one Nemesis DLC pre-selected by us. More info to come soon.

WARNO: Black Birds The future major Tribute-style expansion coming to WARNO (so the focus will be on divisions, but no Army General campaign or Operations) is WARNO - Black Birds. It will feature 8 new divisions and 5 new nations historically outside of either NATO or the Warsaw Pact, or otherwise very reluctantly part of either alliance.

In our alternative World War III history, each of these nations has picked a side, which allowed us to feature new and interesting (and rare) equipment. You guys have already correctly guessed the nations, being Switzerland and Austria (for NATO), and Hungary and Albania (for the Warsaw Pact). The mysterious fifth is still waiting to be revealed…

Even More Content And what’s next after the above? Even more content coming to WARNO! That’s right, our Cold War-gone-hot World War III is far from over, and there are plenty of campaigns, units, divisions, and nations left to be explored (and incorporated) into WARNO. We have absolutely no intention to stop working on WARNO - you can expect plenty of cool things coming to WARNO in the short and not-too-distant future!

Ranked Season 5 At the beginning of the month, we asked for your vote with regards to the map pool for the new Ranked Season 5. The results are in, and you overwhelmingly voted to feature all available maps (being competitive maps only, training maps excluded)!

With the upcoming release of Nemesis #8, Season 5 will also kick off with all 1v1 maps available in Ranked. Mind you, at the end of the season - which will last roughly six months - we will have another vote to see if we want to continue with this map roster. And yes, once WARNO - Tropic Storm releases, the expansion’s new maps will also be added to the map pool.

Until Next Time That’s all for this DevBlog. Apart from Nemesis #8 - School’s Out! release, we’ll go quiet until September, when we’ll be back in full force!

Don’t forget to check out the ever-awesome WARNO community. Find the latest news on the Steam News page or visit the Steam Forums. Get together with other players on either the excellent Discord server, Reddit page, YouTube or our Instagram.

As always, see you on the battlefield, commanders!
