addedGreetings! I hope you all had a relaxing holiday. I have some exciting developments to share regarding the next Warlord game (yet to be officially announced). Last night the Discord community and I watched the premiere of The Crater, a new tech demo environment built to showcase the latest engine advancements coming to Darkmatter Games.
addedSince the completion of Warlord: Britannia, I have been hard at work on this with the idea to solidify and hone underlying engine features before starting development on the next title itself. As the new Warlord release starts to take shape, The Crater will act as its test bed, so make yourself at home!
addedThis iteration of The Crater focuses on new vegetation, terrain, lighting, water, atmospheric sounds, and graphics options. It also has a brand new localization system. If your country is not represented, please let me know right away!
changedExpect more news in the coming months. My next milestone is combat, and with that I may end up revealing the next Warlord setting, so that will be very exciting. In the meantime, enjoy Britannia, and stay tuned!
