Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy changes
Only the most lethal planets in the Imperium are designated as Death Worlds. Every living thing on their surfaces, including flora, fauna, and sometimes even the very soil, air, and water, conspires to annihilate any intruder. The most infamous of these death worlds is Catachan. Shrouded in lethal jungles, it serves as the crucible of the legendary Astra Militarum regiment, the Catachan Jungle Fighters.
Haymar Devos is a native of Catachan and a former Guardsman of the Astra Militarum, part of the elite squad known as the Catachan Devils. The planet shows no mercy to the weak: poisonous flora, predatory beasts, and a lethal climate kill any who are unable to adapt. But the survivors become versatile tacticians, resilient, cold-blooded, and fearless.
It was precisely these proven abilities that earned Haymar his place within the Inquisition: whether at range or in close combat, his fighting abilities are unmatched. When your entire life has been a struggle for survival against a home that seeks to kill you, serving in the ranks of the Imperium’s most secretive and sinister organisation is child’s play by comparison.
For many years, Haymar has been serving the Golden Throne in the Calixis Sector, far from his homeworld and the events that brought him into the ranks of the Inquisition. His combat expertise has repeatedly saved his warband in the most perilous situations, and his loyalty to both his comrades and Humanity is beyond question.
As dark clouds gather over Calixis and the sector’s capital faces imminent peril, Haymar Devos feels neither doubt nor fear. He knows what he is destined for, and he will see it through to the end, aiding the Inquisition in crushing the schemes of Humanity’s enemies.
