Devstream 181 Highlights

Devstream 181 was broadcast live from the Event Stage at Tokyo Game Show 2024 and included the full reveal of our next update, Koumei & the Five Fates (along with the release date of next week on October 2!). We also unveiled some new teaser art from our upcoming collaboration with The Line and announced the upcoming release of a new playable Warframe: 1999 demo on October 16.

Koumei & the Five Fates: Coming October 2

With just a few days remaining before launch, Devstream 181 saw the premiere of the Koumei & the Five Fates Official Gameplay Trailer:

58th Warframe: Koumei

Test your luck with the Dice-Maiden, Tenno! Koumei weaves fate to unleash damage and ensure her survival. To the virtuous, she is an oracle. To the wicked, a perilous game of chance.

Passive: Fate selects one of her weapons to impart randomized status effects when dealing damage. This passive effect swaps to another weapon after a duration.

Important Note: as the Dice-Maiden, Koumei rolls 5 Dice for each Ability cast, which impacts each Ability in its own way.

First Ability: Kumihimo Weaves the threads of Destiny. Enemies who touch these threads suffer a random Status Effect.

Rolling three 6s on her Dice will spawn Threads that deal every Status Effect on contact.

Second Ability: Omikuji Koumei glimpses a favorable future and the precise steps needed to reach it. Cast the ability to uncover a challenge — completing it will reward Koumei a random Decree.

A roll of triple sixes will grant a Decree without needing to complete a challenge.

Third Ability: Omamori Surround yourself with Omamori Charms, each with a chance to have enemy attacks heal you instead of damage you. The number of charms is determined by Koumei’s dice roll.

A roll of triple sixes grants invulnerability for the duration of your Omamori Charms.

Fourth Ability: Bunraku Wield your foe’s fate threads like the strings of marionettes, suspending enemies in front of Koumei. Her dice determine the number of random Status Effects dealt to affected foes.

A roll of triple sixes maximizes Status Effect stacks and extends Bunraku to enemies behind Koumei.

New Deluxe Skins

Adorn yourself in the delicate beauty of sakura with Nova Aozakura, or embody a mythological god of thunder with Volt Raijin. Each of these Deluxe Skins also includes Ephemeras and Signas:

Caliban will also enjoy the Deluxe Skin treatment with the new Caliban Orfeo Collection! This otherworldly Deluxe Skin also brings the Seighe Scythe Skin and Heurodis Ephemera, pictured below:

Warframe Reworks

In addition to her graceful Deluxe Skin, Nova will also benefit from a "Light" Rework that makes minor (but welcome) improvements to her antimatter themed Abilities:

Caliban Giveaway

Between his extensive Rework and otherworldly Orfeo Collection, Koumei & the Five Fates is shaping up to be a fairly Caliban-heavy update!
