The Japan Self-Defense Forces were established on July 1st 1954. Initially, they held only a defensive mandate, but over time they began participating in international missions (typically UN peacekeeping operations) and providing assistance to their allies. The Self-Defense Forces are also deployed to assist during major natural disasters, such as the earthquakes of 1995 and 2011.

The IJN Kiyoshimo and J2M4 Kai are temporarily available for Golden Eagles with a 50% discount!

When: From July 1st (09:00 GMT) until July 4th (09:00 GMT).

Where: Japan > Bluewater fleet / Aviation > Premium vehicles.

  • IJN Kiyoshimo (rank II) for 2,440 Golden Eagles

  • J2M4 Kai (rank IV) for 1,925 Golden Eagles

  • Both vehicles can only be purchased during the event.

About these vehicles

  • IJN Kiyoshimo lacks armor-piercing shells, making it better suited for a support role. Open the “Japan Self-Defense Forces Day” trophy!

When: From July 1st (09:00 GMT) until July 4th (09:00 GMT)

Task: Earn 3,000 mission points in battles where you used Japanese vehicles at rank III or higher to receive the “Japan Self-Defense Forces Day” trophy!

Inside this trophy, you’ll receive one of four decals:

“Japan Self-Defense Forces Day” decal“Japan Self-Defense Forces Day” decal
“Infantry Battalion Flag” decal“Armor Battalion Flag” decal

The “Tank Battalion Flag” decal is located in the “Japan → Tanks” vehicle customization section. The other decals are found in the “Holidays” section.

If you already have all three decals, you’ll receive a trophy containing one of the following items:

  • 20-50% Research Point booster for 3-10 battles

  • 20-50% Silver Lion booster for 3-10 battles

  • 3-5 universal backups

  • 1 day of Premium account

Please note: After finishing the task, you need to collect the reward manually.

Additional details:

  • You can complete the task in random battles, except for [Assault] mode.

  • Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Japan Self-Defense Forces Day.
