changedIn his memory, during the month of January, the game will now automatically have the Main Menu's Dabiriu Base flag at half-mast.
changedIf you'd like to hear some of his work, there's a section of the Wookikota soundtrack on YouTube: View store page Thank you for taking the time to read this portion of the post :)
addedLatest Update ChangesSo this update is to give quality of life improvements to the game, a lot of care has been specifically given to Split Screen. The in-game menus always bothered me since they were blocking all players whenever you open the wardrobe for example. They are now separated per player screen and with brand new visuals.
addedLatest Update ChangesAnother thing that I would like to show is the merchant that used to be near the Dabiriu Base is now back, shops now display new items as you progress through the game so you no longer need to go to a specific shop to purchase a specific item .
changedLatest Update ChangesThere's also the addition of an auto aim system, I don't think I'm particularly good at developing this so with the help of my wife, she was able to tweak it to feel better when playing with a controller. So feel free to give us feedback of how it feels.

Hi everyone,

Before I talk about the latest game changes, I would like to give a team update:

It's with a broken heart that I'm here to let you all know that our music composer, Gabriel Soares, has passed away. It happened in January so forgive me for my late post but It was truly, extremely difficult for me to handle it. Gabriel was not only an amazing musician but also a huge friend of mine. His contributions to War Islands were invaluable and I honestly don't think I would be able to reach this far without his help, from a simple chat to cheer me up to astonishing soundtracks. Gabriel my friend, wherever you are, just know that you never gonna be forgotten.

In his memory, during the month of January, the game will now automatically have the Main Menu's Dabiriu Base flag at half-mast.

If you'd like to hear some of his work, there's a section of the Wookikota soundtrack on YouTube: View store page Thank you for taking the time to read this portion of the post :)

Latest Update Changes

So this update is to give quality of life improvements to the game, a lot of care has been specifically given to Split Screen. The in-game menus always bothered me since they were blocking all players whenever you open the wardrobe for example. They are now separated per player screen and with brand new visuals.

Another thing that I would like to show is the merchant that used to be near the Dabiriu Base is now back, shops now display new items as you progress through the game so you no longer need to go to a specific shop to purchase a specific item.

There's also the addition of an auto aim system, I don't think I'm particularly good at developing this so with the help of my wife, she was able to tweak it to feel better when playing with a controller. So feel free to give us feedback of how it feels.

Now here's a list of some of the major changes:

  • Merchant Carriages now share available items to buy

  • Dabiriu Base merchant restored

  • New auto aim feature for controllers

  • Improved visuals for Notes, Wardrobe and Shop menus

  • In-game menus now support per player screen on Split Screen sessions

  • Improved character lighting in the game menu

  • Dabiriu Base visuals improved

  • Notes text formatting improved for better readibility

  • Main Menu will now show Dabiriu Base flag at half-mast during January

  • Fixed initial tutorial prompts not going away when ignored

  • Fixed controller rumble not working during default Single-Player or Online modes

  • Fixed initial sea turtle ride not starting if one of the characters is mounting Sarsi

  • Fixed ragdoll visibility flickering

  • Fixed joining players overriding existing players that are controlling cannons

  • Fixed custom key bindings not working on online sessions

  • Fixed Almika's possessables soft locking her if moving them too far from their original location

  • Various other stability improvements and refactors for the game

That's all for now, I hope you all are having a lovely week :)

Regards,

Lucas
