changedWhat’s in this update? -Saving during Battle Prep is now possible -Enemies in Chapters 7, 8, 9, and 10 have further reduced stats on Story difficulty -The conditions for Taran’s class are simplified -Miscellaneous bug fixes
addedTaran is a secondary character only available in new game plus in order to provide more options on subsequent playthroughs. If any of Aoife’s stats are 6 higher than their base during her recruitment conversation with Taran at the beginning of Chapter 7, Taran’s class will change accordingly. The conditions of his class work on a priority-based system. For the sake of transparency, here’s how Taran’s class changes based on Aoife’s stats, listed in the order of highest priority: -Aoife’s HP > 25 = Sorcerer -Aoife’s Mag > 9 = Mage -Aoife’s Skl > 11 = Archer -Aoife’s Spd > 13 = Thief -Aoife’s Lck > 9 = Gryphon Scout -Aoife’s Def > 7 = Gryphon Knight -If none of the above conditions are met, Taran’s class will default to Wardsmith
addedI've begun working on a new game. Expect a full announcement in early 2024 with an anticipated release of mid-2025. The game is another SRPG, this time with a more contemporary setting than the Walk with the Living games. It features a smaller cast and a cabin that will serve as a base to regroup between battles. Here's that cabin:

Two more bits of transparency:
Walk with the Living 2 could use a lot more love. Currently, the game is looking at having less than 10 reviews a year out from its release. I don't measure the success of Walk with the Living 2 by its commercial success or its number of players. Walk with the Living and its sequel are truly independent games with unique visions, works of art, made with mostly myself in mind as an audience. However, I love that others have enjoyed them, and to make more games and pay the artists I collaborate with, some commercial success is certainly helpful. If you have some time as the year closes, check out Walk with the Living 2, and leave a positive review. It means more than you know.
