VRShogiMates changes
Ahoy, fellow strategists!
I’m David, the solo dev behind VRShogiMates—also known as the guy responsible for making a perfectly good game and then hiding the “Start Game” button behind 3 layers of mystery.
If you’re wondering how to play solo / or with others:
Grab the game piece (e.g. Shogi, Chess, Gungi, etc.)
Open or reopen the menu (left hand)
Click “Host”
Enter any room name (literally anything)
Click “Host” again—boom, you’re in!
Yeah… it’s a bit weird right now. I’m working on making this more intuitive in future updates. In the meantime, thank you so much for your patience, curiosity, and the hilarious reviews—reading them has honestly been the best part of my day.
If you ever want a match (or a quick Shogi/Chu Shogi crash course), join the discord! I also run a physical Shogi club too, so I’m always down to teach or play.
Cheers and see you on the virtual board! – David L. Banfai Developer, VRShogiMates
