Vroomity Loops changes
Anni and João from Happy Chimkens here! We heard your feedback and took note of all the bugs (and your comments on level difficulty) found during the four days of Comic Con Portugal (April 23-26). To make your experience the best it can be, we’ve fixed (almost) all of those little pesky buggers.
So what has changed?
You can no longer drive outside the roundabout constraints (hopefully).
The “ Yes ” button in the retry/continue menu is now the default selection. Same thing with the main menu: the “ Play ” button will be selected by default, but as soon as the mouse is moved it will become deselected.
Hitting the slow car now counts toward the achievement.
You can now use the “ esc ” key to open the pause menu.
When the retry menu is open, you no longer can play/lose the level.
Resolution issues on levels with four lanes have been fixed.
The text indicating the correct exit on level 3 has been fixed.
On level 4, you now can see where you will start without another car overlapping.
On level 5, one of the fast cars has been removed, so the level is less reaction based.
You no longer can unlock the “ Mean Car ”, but it will be unlockable in the full version of the game and will have a special ability attached to it.
There are small cosmetic changes to the “ Beatle ” car (including the name) to ensure there won’t be any copyright infringements in the future. It is now known as “ Buggy ”.
End-of-level stats have been fixed, which means they are now being counted correctly. Hitting a car no longer counts as a wrong exit, and vice-versa.
What we know that still needs to be changed?
The settings menu will get a complete redesign in the future. When it was originally designed, we didn’t account for gamepad input, so the navigation is currently wonky and confusing.
There needs to be an easy way for players to try out both sets of controls at the start of the game.
We’re going to release another build for the demo closer to the release date. If you find more bugs, please keep reporting them and we’ll do our best to fix them as soon as possible.
Until next time!
In the meanwhile, consider giving us a follow on Instagram or wishlisting the game to stay connected and receive updates on development.
