This update mainly focuses on improving AI behaviour, alongside several QoL improvements and some UI tweaks. Below is a full overview of all changes included in this update:

UI Changes:

  • Removed Singleplayer from the main menu

  • Unified the entire main menu in terms of alignment and order

  • Added the option to view the latest Patch Notes from the main menu

  • Added a proper map selection screen to the multiplayer lobby hosting instead of individual map buttons

  • Slightly adjusted the design of the lobby code and chat text boxes

Singleplayer

  • Singleplayer has been completely removed from the game. To play against bots, simply host a multiplayer lobby and join it solo

Sandbox

  • Fixed sandbox bots on Beach and Grass Map

  • Added Set Target Practice to Beach and Grass Map

  • Disabled the option to choose Pipe and Back Oppo on Beach Map as Set Target

  • Re-added the wind flag to Beach and Grass maps

Multiplayer

  • Changes / fixes to AI behaviour:

  • Fixed bots getting stuck in receive state

  • Fixed bots hitting the ball into the net

  • Fixed bots not reacting to balls sent over due to physical touches

  • Fixed bots getting stuck after blocking

  • Fixed bots setting twice after the ball rolled down on the net

  • Fixed bots not reacting on block covers

  • Bots now properly recalculate positioning after block deflects

  • Only a single bot reacts to serve receive to prevent multiple bots running into the receive

  • Added top spin to bot spikes

  • Reduced the hitbox size of the net collider to allow players to stay closer to the net, resulting in fewer waterfall balls

Other fixes / changes:

  • There is now rollback before you start a game. That means warmups and beach 2v2s are now possible!

  • Added Gym Map and Grass Map to Multiplayer

  • Fixed incorrectly counted points when the ball rolls down under the net

  • Fixed a bug where the touch log wouldn't count new touches after blocks

  • Fixed a bug where the setting animation would get canceled while charging

  • Fixed players getting stuck in the serve toss animation when starting a game while spawning a ball

  • Touches between blocks are now correctly counted as block touches

  • When playing with a human setter, bots will no longer react to balls if a player calls for the set, preventing bots from stealing sets

General Changes

  • Removed XMAS hats from player models

  • Added three new jerseys (Team Shikuzen) to the game (If anyone has jerseys they would like to see in-game, feel free to contact @.korai)

  • Moved the antenna on the Beach map to its correct position

  • Changed animation for float toss

  • Press "H" while holding the ball to perform an underhand serve. Power and height are fixed - only the serve direction depends on where you’re looking.

  • Changed float physics for a overall more controlled feeling

  • Added a skybox texture to both beach and grass map
