Welcome back Voidseekers to another update. A very general one this time with some new stuff and a bunch of QoL changes mainly to make the menus nicer to navigate when not using a mouse.
A new class has been added called the Elden Reforged. He has the strange ability to reforge Arcana Rings which are infused with various traits such as those found in Voidworld Trials.
A new game mode called Bossious Rush has also been added where you face off against an ever-evolving Evalutron boss. It also makes good use of the new Challengeus Analyser shop who offers some gambling opportunities to spice up the run. The game mode has also been added to the Voidworld Trials.
In the Preparatory Sector you now have the option of adding your own rooms to customise your runs. Hacking any hackables will add them to a new Hackables Compendium which in turn will unlock them for use in the Preparatory.
The Device Repository shop can now upgrade your passive items into Mega versions which typically doubles their effect.
Other new stuff... - 13 new achievements (associated with the new content). - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus: If you run out of power cores and can't currently buy one then once per run you can now exchange all of your Score for a single core. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: They now have a 33% chance of using Nightmare Mode. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials - 3 New traits: More Hazards, Nukem Spawns, Spiked Balls. - Shop - Challengeus Analyser: It also has a small chance to appear in the Rogue/Campaign game modes (with an increased chance in Nightmare Mode and Elementless sectors). - Shops - Device Repository / Schematic Engraver: They now have a chance of offering a Fortuity Shipment (which gives their usual random item). - New Hackable: Mega Data Dump. - 6 New Passive items: Abilitum Commensory, Elementful Idol, Elementless Idol, Data Megatonia, Haul Beckoner, Haul Malware. - New Ability: Fluxon Detritus.
Status Screen changes... - The Weapon Stats panel has been removed, instead the weapon's info is now shown as part of their hover tool tip. - An extra row of Passive Items has been added. - When not using a mouse changing the top tab is now down using a single button (instead of two). - The Stats page will now say if you're playing in Nightmare Mode. - The Config tab has been renamed to Visibles and just shows the Visibles setting menu (instead of all settings). - You can now press the Escape Menu button to close the Status Screen.
Other misc changes... - I ticked the "NVIDIA GeForce NOW" tick box (whatever that does). - The settings.ini file is now stored in the same place as your save file (so when using Family Share on the same computer different accounts have their own settings file). - Settings - Fullscreen: This has had some changes under the hood (to improve compatibility). - Settings: The Menu Controls are now set globally to either Dash/Ability (instead of being manually set to any button for each separate input type). - Your Abilities are now triggered by a single button (instead of Ability 1/2 being separate buttons). - Various visual tweaks to the menu selectors have been made (to improve visibility when not using a mouse). - After winning a game mode if you unlock/upgrade multiple starting weapons then they now combine themselves into a single popup tip (so it doesn't push tips offscreen if there's a lot). - Achievement - Elementless Convergence Challenge: If you haven't yet gotten this achievement then it will now show a timer in the Shop Screen if appropriate (so you don't have to check the Status Screen). - Choose Game Mode: The Survival Function and Campaign Reconnexus game positions have swapped places (Campaign is just cooler to see first). - Choose Game Mode: The Codex Compendium now has a win gem for completing it. - Game Mode - Rogue Convergence - Difficulty 7 - Boss: Some extra Eyes have been added (was a bit easy). - Game Mode - Survival Function: The special Heritage and Class Troves now use their own chest icons (instead of them all using question marks). - Game Mode - Survival Function: A Class Heritage Trove will now appear at the start of the swarm sector. - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus - Difficulty 6: The Elementless area now also has a Shop. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: The Dailies have been removed so are now all Weeklies (to make room for the new Bossious Trial, also nobody played them). - The sector entrance/exit portals are now darker (to reduce eye strain as they were rather bright). - The icon above your head that shows when an Ability is ready is now slightly bigger (so easier to see). - Class - Vampire Survivor: They now start with an extra class trait that boosts their Recovery/Speed when at full Health. - Class - Gunslinger Desperado: They now can't use Melee Weapons. - Shop - Gun Runner: Hovering over the item now shows its default Weapon Trait. The Critical stat now shows its percentage chance to cause a Critical Hit (instead of its base stat). - Shop - Gun Runner: There's a good chance one of the offered weapons will now have an Element that's the same as the current Sector Element. - Shop - Encrypted Stranger: They now have a slightly higher chance of appearing in Nightmare Mode. - Shop - Bionica Ripperdoc: If you don't have the required item Element stat then the cost is now shown in red. - Bosses can now be affected by the following status effects: Cursed, Elementful, Elementless (previously they were immune). - Hackable - Element Deposit: Elementless deposits have been replaced with Elementful (which boosts your highest Element stat). - Hackable - Storehouse: Hacking it now spawns 1-3 Cog Crates (instead of just giving Cogs). - Hackable - Data Bank: Hacking it now spawns 1-3 Data Dumps (instead of just giving Score). - The appearance of some Sector Hackables have changed so they're easier to identify between them (Haul Transmitter/Mineorium Lure/Mega Bot Lure/Beacon Transmitter). - Hazard - Vulium sector: The cloud overlay now obscures more of the screen when you're close to it. - Hazard - Zenon sector: The buzzsaw now has a whirring sound effect as you get closer. - Weapon - Star Devourer: Its fire rate has been increased by 15% (seemed a little underpowered compared to other mega weapons). - Ability - Ablitum Mirror: Triggering this no longer affects the other Ability cool downs.
Bug fixes... - Soundtrack: The second tune's name had a stray "-". - Settings: Changing the VSync setting wasn't saving it when rebooting the game. - Settings - Gamepad Controls: It wasn't drawing the Escape Key button tip. - Choose Starting Weapon menu: Choosing the Random Weapon option would give a Level 1 weapon. - Game Mode - Rogue Convergence - Boss: Mineires could spawn on top of the Boss. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: The trait that reduces Ability Cool Rate was increasing it instead. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: The trait that boosts the chance for Cursed enemies wasn't working (instead the Booty Hauler boost was triggering it). - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: The trait that spawns more enemies could spawn a lot of Mineires. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: The trait that spawns Blobby enemies could do it during boss fights. - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: A Very Dark Sector trial wasn't working in Boss fights. - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus: It would show the game mode intro text when re-entering the map if you haven't yet beat the mode. - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus: If you bought a Mega Ability you could buy it again if you were already offered it in other shops. - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus: Vulium Shops weren't being affected by their usual Corrupted Signal. - Game Mode - Campaign Reconnexus - Difficulty 7 - Final Boss: Its base colour was always Elementless (instead of a random colour). - Game Mode - Voidworld Trials: Hovering over the Difficulty icon wasn't showing the correct threat number. - Compendium: When returning from a sub-menu using non-mouse controls the selector would default to the top option. - Choose Class: The Malware Corrupted class wasn't showing a class description line. - Choose Difficulty: The Nightmare Mode icon would show when hovering over it even when locked. - Enemy - Voidmare Skullion: Its smoke death effects were being created even with Death Debris setting off. - Status Screen - Visibles: Changing the Screen Brightness wasn't affecting the Visibles menu. - Class - Vampire Survivor: The Very Dark Sector trait wasn't working in Boss fights and wasn't updating correctly in a Survival Function. - Class - Pussy Purrer: They could be given Medical drones via the Droneous Eggling ability and Eggy Weggy drone (Medical drones have no use). - Shop - Device Repository: When offered a Mega Trait you couldn't buy it if you no longer had the weapon. - Elementless weapons: Their base stats were being multiplied by their Level (instead of just the Element stats being affected). - Weapon - Ionic Lazcannon: It was doing insane damage against bosses. - Traitum - Emission: It could insane damage against bosses on weapons that have a very high fire rate. - Traitum - Pierce: It could insane damage against bosses. - Passive Item - Trojan Doll: It was causing extra damage against Cursed enemies. - Passive Item - Store Restockments: In Survival Function its description was incorrect. - Passive Item - Inflamous Sphere: During the Campaign final boss they could behave oddly if you were close to the edge of level. - Drone - Eggy Weggy: It wasn't hatching during boss fights. - Traitum - Voltage: This could cause performance issues if there was a lot of enemies onscreen. - Boss: The off-projectiles of the massive bomb attack had a very high damage value. - Enemy - Voidmare Skullion: Killing it could spawn other Voidmare Skullions. - Enemy - Skullion: They weren't fleeing after killing a Boss.
