Starting your first infiltration? Here are a few tips that might save you from getting traced.

🖥️ Erase Your Tracks

Every server keeps a Connection Log of everyone who accessed it. Leaving those logs behind makes it easier for security to trace your activity.

Whenever possible, locate and delete the Connection Log to reduce your Trace Time and stay hidden for longer.

📁 Read Everything

The answers are rarely handed to you.

Passwords, access codes, usernames, IP addresses, and important clues are often hidden inside emails, documents, log files, sticky notes, and other files scattered throughout the system.

Pay attention to what you read—you'll often find the solution before you realize you need it.

🚶 Plan Your Route

The 3D environments are just as important as the hacking itself.

Security patrols monitor most restricted areas, so rushing in is rarely the best strategy. Take a moment to observe their movement patterns and plan a safe route before making your move.

Don't forget to use the Scan ability to reveal nearby threats and points of interest.

📺 Use the Environment to Your Advantage

Many electronic devices can be hacked.

Security cameras, televisions, billboards, and other connected systems aren't just decoration—they can become useful tools. Trigger them at the right moment to distract guards, create openings, or safely slip past patrols.

Sometimes the best way forward isn't fighting... it's misdirection.

🔍 Explore Everything

Curiosity pays off.

Take your time exploring every room, every terminal, and every corner of the environment. Optional files, hidden paths, collectibles, and valuable story details are scattered throughout the game.

The more you explore, the more you'll discover about the world—and the easier your next hack may become.

Good luck, Hacker.
