Voice of Chernobyl changes
Hey everyone! Merry Christmas!
And also, happy (really late) Halloween and Thanksgiving!
I've brought this update (disguised a patch) which is of course for v021, but it brings THE NEW WORKSHOP SYSTEM! And some other cool stuff which we will talk about, consider this update as a Christmas present from me
THE WORKSHOP!
It has been updated to allow for advanced modding, you can now replace in-game assets, meaning any texture, sound, animation and model and much more can be replaced and modified to your likings. You can also load custom maps made inside the Unity Editor incase you want to make more advanced maps, however it's not just about replacing - you can also add content as with mods you're given the ability write scripts, it might seem like a small thing, but you are able to create whatever you want

For modders, some steam guides will be made, don't be afraid to ask for help or any trouble shooting problems
NEW ACHIEVEMENTS!
From a shy 35, to a scary 64! However, alongside the new achievements, every old achievement's design was remade to look way better, and sexy
GRUESOME CHAINSAW!
You are given a proper chainsaw to cut off your enemies as they cry.. ok thats a little to far, but it is so satisfying to use and sounds better and more original now, so go get it quickly!
EXPERIMENTAL OPTIMIZATION CHANGES!
I'm doing an experimental change with the optimization, the game should run better and most likely it has toned down some stutters and memory leaks, I've also decided to uncompress the game (which is why it's bigger now) so that some assets load faster and so that if I make future patches it shouldn't redownload the whole game everytime
REWORKS TO UI & AUDIO
If you remember, the audio was not really.. well.. quite original BUT it has been now changed! As those were some.. long term.. place holder assets.. but they finally did get replaced! And I've decided to also change UI so it's less clunky (most noticable with loading screen and additional UI panels)
MAP CHANGES!
I decided that some maps needed some modifications done to them, and alongside that they were given some holiday themes to them as it's Christmas!
I unfortunately couldn't change some maps (Pripyat, Chelyabinsk, Bridge) which really deserved some reworks done to them as they have really poor quality, but if I ever do a future update for v021 again, you can expect even more maps to be changed and have the same treatment that Infected Pripyat or Levit-town got!
AND SOME MORE STUFF!
There is a lot of different things that I decided to change and replace for the fact that, it needed to be done, this also includes some bug fixes and makes the game understandable for new players, expect some weapon and cosmetics changes (I apologize in advance if you aren't a fan of them, but I hope you understand why I needed to do that)
Alrighty, now, that might have been a lot to take in right? Now lets talk about v022 shall we? Most likely the most famous question is going to be:
'where is v022? and why is it taking so long?'
Regarding this I'm sorry for the continous delays but I'm going to say it now, there is not a set release date as things constantly evolve with the development, the betas that were released were an experiment and they of course do not represent the final outcome. Keep in mind, v022 is going to set a milestone once released, and the game will remain free during and after v022, it is going to be an interesting and crazy journey but so for a reason and I hope you all like it when it releases! It won't release out of the blue, I will announce the release as soon as possible, development is going on but is silent, you will enjoy it when ready!
I'm probably going to do some more patches as of course there are some glitches under the radar, but patches will be done to help out modders and add what is missing. I also changed various pictures, the store page and other things just so everything is more polished.
