changedHi all, First of all I would like to thank all the players we've had over the past year. Your feedback has been greatly received and we are truly grateful. We've been a bit quiet since release, we know. This is because we all decided to take some time off to reflect upon the game's release, just over a year ago. During this time we were proud to have released our first game on Steam, to much positive feedback. However, it has come to our attention that we could have approached some things slightly better. As with most things, you learn from your mistakes, and the first of those we felt was the game's title. The title “Unforgiven: Missing Memories” was decided upon quite late into development. We had the story and most of the game complete, but a title was still missing. Eventually through various discussions we agreed on the title, however we now realise that this could have been a mistake. For the most part, the current name does not really indicate what the game is about. We imagine that most players would pass by our game and not really take much notice of it. Hence, we have decided to rename the game to something more eye catching, and which explains the game at a glance. Therefore, I would like to announce that Unforgiven: Missing Memories will now be known as: Virtual Escape: The Play Room. Unforgiven: Missing Memories was originally intended to be a series of games, all connected with an on-going narrative. However, from player feedback it became clear that the story was a bit confusing and we could have made it better, and whilst we appreciate that some of you enjoyed the addition of a narrative, the general consensus was that it was unnecessary. Ultimately, with the current title “Virtual Escape: The Play Room”, and all future escape game releases, we have decided to abandon the narrative and leave it in its current position. However, To those few who are interested in knowing and understanding exactly what was going on, and how we intended to develop the narrative, please feel free to reply upon the community boards and we will do our best to conclude and tie up any loose ends. With this in mind, I would like to say that we’re now aiming to create a new series of games, known as "Virtual Escape". Just like real world escape rooms, we aim to create a variety of themed escapes. Each will fall into the "Virtual Escape" brand, but each escape room will have a unique brand/theme. Therefore, I would also like to announce that we do have another game currently in development. It’s still early days, but if all goes to plan we’re hoping for a release sometime next year. Finally, as always we would like to thank you for your patience and support. We hope our game brought you as much enjoyment to play as it brought us to develop. Ultimately, it has helped a trio of young developers achieve their dream of making and releasing their own indie games, and for that we are eternally grateful, and hope that long may it continue. To end, the patch notes: - Changed Name of Game to "Virtual Escape: The Play Room" - Updated Engine version to 4.18 - Spectator screen is now full-screen, makes guest viewing more pleasant - Changed how something breaks yet again - Added physics to telephone wire
