Hello everyone, this is Daye from Jrock-Studio. It's been a while since our last update, so today I'd like to share what we've been up to recently. 1. **We got in touch with Mr. Lin Fangzhou of EchopodMusic, and we are honored to collaborate with him!** 2. **Participating in the Steam Next Fest on June 15th!** 3. **Significantly improved game details, reset and redid multiple contents.** 4. **Increased game script and added detailed scene descriptions.** Let’s start with the first point: we got in touch with Mr. Lin Fangzhou of EchopodMusic, and we are honored to collaborate with him! First, to clear up any questions: who is EchopodMusic, and who is Lin Fangzhou? EchopodMusic is a music studio focused on ACG audio, mainly producing music, sound effects, and songs. Its core producers are outstanding graduates of Berklee College of Music. Mr. Lin is one of the main producers. Here are some tracks you may have heard: - *Muri na Mon* (Rude Reject) – *The Grimms Notes: The Animation* (Season 1) - *Boukoku no Aria* (Outlaw’s Aria) – *The Grimms Notes: The Animation* (Season 2) - *Layer 19* – OST - *Tiger and Crane* – OST - *Goddess* – OST - *The Hungry Lamb: Journey to the Ming* – OST - *Elegy of the Broken City: Ten Days After the Fall* – OST ...The list goes on. Recently, we took part in a very meaningful indie game event – the "Indie Game Completion Project" by EchopodMusic, which offers free music production for indie games. We submitted our application with a "let's give it a try" attitude, and to our surprise, we were selected! In his email, Mr. Lin said that the mecha and romance elements in *Virtual Axis/Real Blade* "fully ignited his otaku blood", and he also affirmed our attention to visual and audio details. Although the team initially hesitated because we already had other music partners, Mr. Lin eventually persuaded them and selected us as the collaboration game for June. We are now discussing the specific requirements for the boss battle music, and we hit it off immediately with Mr. Lin’s creative style. Meeting such a dedicated, professional, and passionate musician is one of our biggest surprises on this journey. We will share the progress as soon as new music is ready. By the way, EchopodMusic's July indie game recruitment has already begun. If you are an indie developer, consider following Mr. Lin on Bilibili – maybe you'll be the next to be selected. Second, we are participating in the Steam Next Fest on June 15th! Yes, *Virtual Axis/Real Blade* is in the Steam June Next Fest! The demo is available for download and trial during the event. This is an important milestone for us. During Next Fest, many new games will appear on Steam at the same time, and competition is fierce. But for us, the biggest reward is having more players see *Virtual Axis/Real Blade* and receive your feedback. If you have any thoughts after trying the demo – whether you like something or think something could be improved – please leave a comment or join our official fan group: **735719579**. If you haven't downloaded it yet, search for "Virtual Axis/Real Blade" on Steam. If you could add it to your wishlist, we would be extremely grateful! Third, we have significantly improved game details, reset, and redone many contents. Many of you who have followed us for a while may remember the early demo. To be honest, looking back, we are not completely satisfied with that version. So over the past few months, instead of rushing to add new content, we have focused on re-polishing the existing content. This Next Fest version resets, optimizes, and adds a large amount of art content. The gacha mini-game has also been updated – you may have noticed that there are finally prizes in it! That's a small victory for this phase of testing. We have also upgraded the UI to some extent, and the UI motion details have been enhanced. The story presentation has also been reset and iterated: character portrait expressions have been largely redone, and the performances have been re-written and re-produced (you'll see that part in the official release). In addition, we have reset some background images, refined a few CGs, and added chapter transition animations. Some of these changes come from player feedback, and some are decisions we made after repeated testing. That's how indie game development goes – we learn as we build, and we always want to give the best to the final product. We hope the new demo version conveys our sincerity. Finally, regarding the story, we have also increased the game script. As a text-based romantic adventure game, the quality of character dialogue and scene descriptions directly affects player immersion. We re-examined all the text from the prologue to the middle part, focusing on enhancing the characters' inner monologues, making their motivations clearer, and deepening the portrayal of their struggles when facing choices. All the additions serve character development and world-building. We hope that in the official version, these words will make you fall in love with everyone in *Virtual Axis/Real Blade* even more. That's all for Jrock-Studio's recent updates. New collaborations, new exposure, new polish, new text – we are steadily making *Virtual Axis/Real Blade* better step by step. Thank you to everyone who follows us. Your patience and support are our greatest motivation. If you have any thoughts or expectations about the game, feel free to leave a comment. Don't forget to download the Next Fest demo on Steam and add it to your wishlist. See you next time!
