Mercenaries,

We'd like to take a moment to clarify our enforcement policies regarding the use of unauthorized third-party programs while playing Vindictus.

Our stance on unauthorized programs

Maintaining a fair and enjoyable experience for all players is one of our top priorities. To this end, our systems actively monitor programs that may interact with or modify the game in unauthorized ways.

In accordance with the Nexon Terms of Service, accounts found to be running unauthorized third-party programs alongside Vindictus will be subject to enforcement action — regardless of whether the program was directly applied to the game. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Memory scanning and modification tools

  • Automation and macro scripting tools

  • Unauthorized screen recognition or process injection software

The relevant clause of the Nexon Terms of Service reads as follows:

"Using any hacks, cracks, bots, or third-party software that may modify, temporarily or permanently, the code or the user experience of the Services... or any application, software or technology that is not expressly authorized by us that enables cheating, power-leveling, or accomplishing game tasks that cannot be accomplished without the use of such an application."

What this means for you

If any such programs are active on your device — even if intended for use with a different application — while Vindictus is running, your account may be subject to enforcement action, up to and including a permanent ban.

We strongly advise all players to ensure that no unauthorized tools are running on their system during gameplay.

If you believe you were wrongly penalized

We understand that enforcement action may occasionally be issued in error. If you believe your account was penalized incorrectly, you are welcome to submit an appeal through our Customer Support portal.

Our team will review your case individually. If we determine that no unauthorized activity was taking place, your account restriction will be lifted.

Please note that all appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the outcome will be based on our full review of the account's activity.

Submit a support ticket

We appreciate your understanding and your continued commitment to fair play. Thank you for being part of the Vindictus community.
