Veyora changes
it honestly still feels surreal writing this.
A few months ago, Veyora was just an idea: sketches, systems, experiments and countless late nights in Unreal Engine. Now the first players are already exploring the world during our early closed beta sessions, and seeing people walk through places that only existed in my imagination for so long is something difficult to describe.
As many of you know, Veyora is mainly being developed by one person with some support from outside, which means development takes time, but it also means every system, village, dialogue and detail is built with a very personal vision behind it. A huge amount of work during the past weeks went into optimization, stability and improving the overall gameplay experience before showing more of the game publicly.
The current version of the game is already a stable experience that can be played together with friends. Even at this stage, Veyora already offers many hours - and honestly even days - of gameplay with exploration, farming, building, trading, dungeons, quests and co-op systems already working together in the open world.
What currently awaits players in Veyora:
Open world exploration across multiple regions
Farming and managing your own land
Building and decorating your own home
Multiplayer co-op gameplay
Dynamic weather and day/night systems
NPCs with dialogues and lore
Bandit camps, ruins and dungeons
Trading systems and economy mechanics
Animals, hunting and gathering
Cooking, crafting and survival systems
Hidden locations and discoveries across the world
During the recent tests, one of the biggest focuses became performance optimization. A large part of development in May was spent improving FPS, reducing unnecessary ticking systems, optimizing NPCs, foliage and shadows, and making the world feel smoother overall. Veyora does not need to run at extreme FPS numbers, but the goal is to create a clean and immersive experience that feels stable and enjoyable over long play sessions.
The closed beta tests have already been extremely valuable. Bugs were found, systems improved and many small gameplay details adjusted through player feedback. At the same time, it has been motivating to see people already spending hours exploring the world, farming, building and simply walking through the environment together.
There is still a lot to do before release. More regions, more dialogue systems, additional dungeons, new animals, new resources, more housing items and many gameplay improvements are already in development. A lot of balancing is also still ongoing, especially regarding economy systems, item pricing and progression pacing.
The plan remains to release Veyora into Early Access first. This gives the game the opportunity to grow together with the community and allows player feedback to directly shape future updates and expansions. The goal is not simply to release a game quickly, but to build a strong foundation that can continue evolving over time.
Thank you again for all the support, messages, wishlists and feedback. Seeing people believe in a solo-developed project like this means more than you can imagine.
More updates, gameplay previews and information about upcoming beta access will follow soon.
Wishlist Veyora on Steam and follow the journey.
