Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a quick look at something we’re currently working on for Venus: The Last Ascent: a multi-layer construction system.

The goal is to give players more freedom when building their HUB Machine. Instead of being limited to a flatter structure, we want players to create taller, more flexible, and more personal rolling fortresses.

This opens the door to machines with multiple levels, larger layouts, better module organization, and more creative designs. Turbines, propellers, turrets, storage, power systems, oxygen modules, and other parts can become more interesting when players have more space and more freedom to build.

Because Venus is physics-based, this also creates new challenges. Building bigger is powerful, but weight, balance, stability, and movement still matter. A massive fortress needs to survive the terrain, not just look impressive.

We’re still testing and improving this system, but we’re excited about the creative possibilities it brings to the game.

The demo is live now on Steam, and we’d love to hear what kind of machines you want to build in Venus: The Last Ascent.

Thanks for following the project,

Breaking Walls
