I love RPGMaker; I wouldn't be here on Steam, presenting VLT to you all, without it. That's why I'm overjoyed to tell you all that Veins Like Tapeworms is officially part of Gotcha Gotcha Games' first ever RPG Maker Horror Festival! This is a great time to try out VLT if you've been eyeballing it for a while!

A two-chapter demo is already available, so you can get a nice taste of what's to come in the story. You can even leave a review on the demo's page! As of this writing, VLT's demo has 10 reviews already! It's one of the best ways to support the game right now.

And hey, if nothing else, just clicking that Wishlist button is free, takes 5 seconds, and really helps support a one-woman band!

Anyway, I know I've been a bit radio-silent on Steam regarding VLT's progress, but I'd say it's plugging along really nicely! Here's a little snapshot of the game's progress so far:

  • 65,000+ words implemented so far!

  • Almost all 8 chapters fully sprited!

  • All 6 endings written and implemented!

  • At least 100 different illustrations - whether that's sketched, lined, or fully rendered in the game!

  • 4 out of 7 Bonus Scenes fully written!

I'd probably say VLT's in a completely readable state. It's not 100% done just yet - there's still a lot of illustrations to do and a bit of cleaning up with the writing - but play-testers can boot up the game right now, read it from beginning to end, and get a complete vision of the story.

And, as proof, here's a few screencaps of brand new stuff I've been working on:

I've been a busy little bee!
