Gameplay
changedVegelypse has undergone a lot of significant gameplay changes (and not only)How did this happen? Well, we had plans to create a simple beat'em'up, with a familiar pattern: the character goes to the right and hits everything that moves. That’s all. This scheme has worked for decades, and it has worked in our project as well. But throughout the production process, we had a small, and then ever-growing, feeling that we were still missing something. Something that would make playing our game more fun.

Something finally clicked. We managed to create something that allowed us to greatly diversify the gameplay, and also allow us to kept the original idea of creating a satisfying beat'em'up.

In a very nutshell:
Vegelypse has undergone a lot of significant gameplay changes (and not only)
How did this happen? Well, we had plans to create a simple beat'em'up, with a familiar pattern: the character goes to the right and hits everything that moves. That’s all. This scheme has worked for decades, and it has worked in our project as well. But throughout the production process, we had a small, and then ever-growing, feeling that we were still missing something. Something that would make playing our game more fun.
We reviewed the existing documentation, created prototypes of some certain solutions, implemented them and... Something finally clicked. We managed to create something that allowed us to greatly diversify the gameplay, and also allow us to kept the original idea of creating a satisfying beat'em'up.
So what awaits you? Well, for exaple: the roguelike mechanics, the character progression system, the evolution system, new characters, new enemies and many more.
We will write more about each of the new features in the next devlogs. So it's worth following us, or even better – add Vegelypse to your wishlist:)
