Introduction:
Dear community, thank you for testing out the new controller support in both the
live game and the playtest version. The playtest version remains fully open to the
public, including two friend invites per user, and will continue to be until the
controller implementation has reached a decent state. Before fully returning to core
content creation, we wanted to address your feedback by implementing several bug
fixes and quality-of-life improvements to our controller-related features.
Patch Notes:
Controller – UI & Navigation:
Input Displays: Hints now display input-device-specific icons instead of
text, which update dynamically when switching devices. Note that any UI
window, including these hints, can be closed using the 'B' (Xbox) or 'Circle'
(PlayStation) button.
Camera Mode: Added a display of possible inputs while in Camera Mode.
Skill icons are now greyed out, as they cannot be used while in this mode.
Skill Targeting: Added a display of possible inputs while in Skill Targeting
mode. Non-active skill icons are now darkened, while the currently
selected skill is highlighted.
Minimap: You can now open/close the minimap by holding the 'Right
Special' button (Xbox Menu / PS5 Options).
Inventory & Items:
Item Swapping: Inventory swapping now functions identically to the
keyboard and mouse experience.
Ghost Items: Fixed an issue where substantial network lag could create
"ghost items" (semi-transparent icons) on the client side.
Tab Management: Fixed an issue that prevented items from being
moved to different tabs when using a gamepad.
Gameplay & Logic:
Revive Shrine: Fixed a trigger issue where the revive shrine hint would fail
to remind single-player users of its function as a respawn point.
Targeting Visuals: The targeting arrow is now correctly disabled upon
character death and re-enabled following a successful revival.
Input Handling: Fixed a bug that allowed input actions to trigger while
the main menu was open. Please note that while opening the menu
pauses the game in solo play, it does not pause the game in multiplayer.
