Valor of Man changes
This update brings a wave of reworks and rebalances targeting enemy behavior, core abilities, and late-game scaling; with a focus on making combat feel cleaner and more intentional at every Valor level.
Main features
Enemy scaling in high Valor level and Chaos mode has been reworked. Currently, enemies were too resistant to magic, rewarding some strategies more than others. We've reduced their tankiness, but they are now deadlier instead.
In addition, we've reworked the following enemies and streamlined the Trample mechanic: - Orc Warriors and Orc Archers no longer have the Blood Loss mechanic that stops their reaction. Instead their reactions now have a fail chance. Their stats have been changed to match the previous level of challenge. The Orc Warrior also loses the Berserk Action, sharpening its identity. - Dreadwretch Flame Eruption has been reworked. It now applies 1 Burn, replacing the previous mechanic for a cleaner, more readable threat. - Enemy Trample now always deals 4 damage. Particularly large enemies now have Trample+, dealing 6.
Fixed a bug with the Paladin's Avenger class ability not Overpowering properly in some cases. Thank you to the community for helping us squash this bug.
Turn Undead now scales with Spell Power and other buffs, making it a meaningful option for offensive Ignatius banger builds. Cast range also increased to 2.
Improved enemy AI for Dive actions to better reflect the description. Now the enemies should more consistently target the farthest hero.
Next steps:
We're looking closely at class balance. At the moment the Assassin is too dependent on items and level-ups to enable her core strategy reliably, so she will be getting an update soon.

New Features: - Enemies no longer have a minimum 5% chance to miss when attacking heroes.
Quality of Life Improvements: - The run seed now sets correctly when starting the 2nd run by abandoning the first run. - Lysandra's Codex now shows the correct enemy count.
Balance: - Improved Upgraded Enemy stat balance for high Valor level and Chaos Mode. - Removed 5% minimum Evasion & Toughness for heroes. - Reworked Dreadwretch Flame Eruption. Now Applies 1 Burn instead of the previous mechanic. - Reworked Orc Warrior and Orc Archer: Removed Blood Loss mechanic, now reaction has a fail chance. - Removed Berserk Action from Orc Warrior. - Buffed Treant: removed Grazed. - Nerfed Terror Fleshling Feed, now can only use it once. - Reworked Fang Throw. No longer has Overpower but costs 0 AP, has 2 cooldown and range 3. - Reworked Turn Undead. Base ability now scales with Spell Power and other buffs. Increased cast range to 2. - Rebalanced Trample. Now always does 4 damage. Especially large enemies have Trample+ that does 6 damage. - Rebalanced Perfect Technique. Base ability gives +3 Health and +5 Critical Chance, upgrades to +9. - Buffed Tribal Mask to 75% minimum Accuracy. (previously 50%) - Nerfed Natural Resistance from 20/30 to 10/15 Spell Resistance. - Nerfed Ward from 20/30 to 10/15 Strain, but gives +3 Health instead. - Buffed Tread Fate to cd 2 (previously 3)
Bug Fixes: - Fixed a bug where the run seed didn't reset when starting a new run without finishing the first run. - Fixed a bug where the Lysandra Codex base enemy count would also count the upgraded version of
