changedMonsters are good now!Unicorn dust got a major buff. All creatures are now recruit-able at any time! Well... most are. Bear Chombers are still too ornery to be recruited at all. Now, recruited monsters will act as standard heroes, capable of manually choosing targets, strength boosts, and blocks. However, they still cannot use items, so do be careful. Bear Chombers and Stumpies now deal 3 base damage. Charged Bear Chombers now deal a whopping 7 base damage! Stumpies can start pre-charged in later waves. (10+) Big Brothers now deal 0-3 base damage. Monsters have free chances for health upgrades on higher dashes.
addedPlayers got buffed as well!Added a perfect block feature. If you press the Action Button on the exact frame you'll take damage, you completely negate all incoming damage. There are no more impossible dashes. Only improbable dashes.
addedMenu sounds!Added a bunch of background sounds for navigating menus. This adds "pop" to an otherwise dull activity.
changedClocks are even better! In previous updates, a clock wouldn't return the items used before using it. That doesn't make sense! So now, when you turn back time, all items that you had at the start of that wave* will be returned to you. Stockpile those durians so you can enjoy them 6 times per wave instead of just 4! *This won't return previously used clocks. No clock cycling here.
changedTutorial! When you start the game for the first time, you will be offered to try a basic game tutorial. Want to brush up on your skills? You can always take it again from the options menu!
addedWhat's that item again? You can read up on items in a new section of your bestiary! Do some reading and figure what that gizmo you have does.

Hello Dashers!

Today is the release of Valley Dash's Monster Update, an update that makes allied monsters far more viable, as well as a couple other goodies. Here's a list:

Monsters are good now!

Unicorn dust got a major buff.

Players got buffed as well!

Added a perfect block feature. If you press the Action Button on the exact frame you'll take damage, you completely negate all incoming damage. There are no more impossible dashes. Only improbable dashes.

New Dasher!

Seventeen-I is a reanimated skeletal dog. He may have been created as a monster, but sometimes life, or the lack thereof, has other plans for you. Being the only multi AND single target hero to date, Seventeen-I is a general purpose hero who can adapt to best fight his opponents. Be careful though, as his targeting patterns are unique and easy to miscalculate. But take heart! His action command is exactly the same as Raye's.

Menu sounds!

Added a bunch of background sounds for navigating menus. This adds "pop" to an otherwise dull activity.

Clocks are even better!

Tutorial!

When you start the game for the first time, you will be offered to try a basic game tutorial. Want to brush up on your skills? You can always take it again from the options menu!

What's that item again?

You can read up on items in a new section of your bestiary! Do some reading and figure what that gizmo you have does.

Misc adjustments:

You can now use Ctrl+C/V to copy and paste seeds in the start menu and high scores table. Alternatively, you can use the select button (Default: Alt) to copy from high scores and paste in the start menu.

Bik's "success" animation and bestiary entry have been slightly adjusted.

James's action command is much more visible.

Three new outfits, one for Valley, one for Sir Knight, and one for Raye. Strangely enough, they're all blue...

Recolored the beach location's sand to be less depressing.

New dash location: The dungeon!

Soundtrack defaults are now per character instead of per-location. This will not affect existing save files.

That looks to be about it! Take care all, and enjoy your dashes!
