Since the release of Urbex Murder on October 24, 2025, development has continued actively with a focus on expanding core systems, improving stability, multiplayer systems, and refining the overall experience based on community feedback.
What’s New?
New Inventory System
A full Inventory System has been added.
Players can now collect, carry, and manage items
Items now play a bigger role in exploration, survival, and teamwork
Items can be used, equipped, or dropped into the world
Wearable items directly affect gameplay and survival
Dropped items remain in the environment and can be interacted with by other players
Built as a flexible system to support future item types and mechanics
Map System
Helps players navigate complex environments
Players can see item locations directly on the map
Rooms display their status based on collectibles:
Red the room contains collectable items
Blue all collectable items in the room have been collected
Default color – the room has not been discovered yet
Helps players plan exploration and coordinate with teammates
Teamwork & Utility Features
Glow Sticks
Throwable light sources for dark areas
Ping System
Silent communication for multiplayer
Mark items, doors, locations, or dangers
Voice Chat
Supports push-to-talk and open mic modes
Allows teams to communicate naturally while exploring and surviving
Emote System
Players can perform emotes during gameplay
Useful for quick reactions, coordination, or roleplay moments
Subway Level Overhaul
The Subway Level has been heavily reworked.
New and expanded routes, sections, and alternative paths
Toxic gas areas added, requiring players to adapt, plan, and use equipment to survive
New AI behavior and enemy encounters introduced to enhance danger and unpredictability
Additional interactable objects such as valves, doors, and environmental elements
Added secrets and hidden paths for deeper exploration
These changes make the Subway Level significantly different from its original release version and turn it into a more dynamic and threatening environment.
Bug Fixes & Community Feedback
Fixed a bug where reviving a teammate would fail if an item was nearby
Fixed train animation issues on the client side
Improved session stability and synchronization
Fixed various gameplay and multiplayer bugs
Fixed an issue where AI would endlessly follow players
Fixed a critical issue that could kick all players from a session
Fixed an issue where players could not rejoin a lobby after leaving it
Fixed several localization issues
Fixed client-side animation issues when moving through narrow passages
Fixed an issue where server settings were not correctly applied to all clients
Fixed collision issues that could occur during ladder climbing
