Public update for Urban Lockdown is now live.

There was a rare bug I wanted to fix, but while I was already digging through the game I ended up making a bunch of extra improvements and quality of life updates, so I figured I may as well release everything together now instead of sitting on it.

Update highlights:

  • Improved FPS system and general game flow • Players can now jump off the edges of the screen • Enemies can now be knocked into screen edges for better juggling and combo opportunities • Story text system has been overhauled and enhanced • Dog NPC AI has been improved • Various other quality of life improvements and behind the scenes clean-up

I still want Urban Lockdown to keep that trashy 90s digitized arcade vibe, because that charm is a huge part of the game’s identity. At the same time though, I also want to modernise certain mechanics and polish things up so it stands stronger alongside my newer projects.

Hope you all enjoy the update, and as always feel free to spread the word and help support the project.
