Unwell changes
The Voice We Heard
Four months of silence have passed -but it wasn’t inactivity. It was time spent listening.
After gathering your feedback, we returned to Unwell from the ground up -without compromise. We took the game apart and began rebuilding it piece by piece, guided this time by your experiences, frustrations, and expectations.
Your voice truly matters to us. And this update is proof of that.
Welcome Gabriel.
The Well is no longer the same
If you remember it from a few months ago -forget it.
Full rework of The Well mechanics
Survival cycles have been redesigned to increase tension and uncertainty. Every descent is now a fight -not only for survival, but for understanding.
New controls More responsive, more intuitive. Less fighting the controls -more fighting to stay alive.
Significant optimization The game now runs smoother, more stable, and more reliable where it previously struggled.
Systems that failed have been torn down and rebuilt
Complete inventory rework Resource management now matters. Every decision carries weight.
New gameplay mechanics We don’t want to reveal everything -but The Well and its inhabitants have begun to react.
Behavior of The Well’s inhabitants These are no longer the same entities. They are more unpredictable. More… present.
And more.
More story. More truth.
We’ve added new narrative content:
Expanded notes
Bestiary
Records of a man known only as: E.
Numerous new interactive objects
Your decisions shape the experience
The Well does not have a single truth. And it does not have a single solution.
Puzzles now have multiple solutions Some paths are easier. Others… more costly.
Your decisions shape the experience How you solve problems now matters.
Multiple endings You won’t see everything in your first playthrough. And not every path leads to the same place.
This update is a major step toward the game Unwell was always meant to be: more personal, more unsettling, more real.
If you’ve already played -come back. If you’ve been waiting -this might be the moment.
We are listening.
