addedNew teaser trailer
changedThe teaser trailer has been updated to showcase the latest changes in UI and especially art, since what I had shared previously was mostly with placeholders. The art assets are finally locked in and hackers at finally has a proper, coherent art style. You can take the usual sneak peek in the updated teaser trailer below.
addedNew demo
addedLikewise, and admittedly, more exciting, I've finally updated the demo! You can try the latest build right now on Steam! If you've played it previously, there isn't unfortunately any new game content for you to explore - it's still the same chapters, although it benefits from the many UI improvements that I talked about in the previous update. If you're curious to see how the game has improved overtime, you can! If you were waiting for a newer version to see if the game is for you, now's a great time!

New Steam Page!

Lets start with something not very exciting: but there is a newer and prettier steam page! Please let me know if your localized version needs some tweaking!

New teaser trailer

The teaser trailer has been updated to showcase the latest changes in UI and especially art, since what I had shared previously was mostly with placeholders. The art assets are finally locked in and hackers at finally has a proper, coherent art style. You can take the usual sneak peek in the updated teaser trailer below.

New demo

Likewise, and admittedly, more exciting, I've finally updated the demo!

Onwards with the development!

If you've played the older demo version, you'll notice that many aspects of the UI have been simplified. This also applies to the game itself: during development I had discovered that many game mechanics I had in mind, were just not as fun as I thought. For example, you might recall that nations had a very complicated UI to keep track of the relationship status each nation had with other nations: my initial idea would be that such stats would be used to influence a certain chance of having your operative extradited (or not), but not only it was a mess to keep track, it was just complex, burdensome and ultimately, not fun. During these past months I've streamlined and tested all levels, and what wasn't fun was either scrapped, or reworked significantly. The core game is still about hacking and managing your crew of course, but trimming the fat was something that was needed. The release of "Untrusted: Hackers at Large" is scheduled for Q1 or Q2 2026 - make sure to share this teaser trailer (yes, you're right, I need to make a longer one!) with your friends and make sure to wishlist it! That's it for this devlog!
