changedWe decided to reduce the roster from 10 animals temporarily so we could properly focus on quality, mechanics, movement, animations, and overall gameplay feel instead of spreading development too thin. Additional animals will continue releasing over time with our goal being roughly 2 new animals either bi-weekly or monthly until the roster is complete.
addedThe Gator will still be joining the roster soon. Grabbing mechanics are not implemented yet, but the Gator will still hit hard while we continue deciding between a full grab system or latch-based combat.

Version Two is officially live and marks one of our biggest updates yet. This build focuses heavily on polish, immersion, progression systems, movement improvements, paired animations, AI wildlife, audio upgrades, and overall gameplay balancing.

This release launches with 4 fully polished playable animals: • Mule Deer • Moose • Wolf • Tiger

NEW FEATURES & CHANGES

NPC Wildlife The world now contains ambient wildlife NPCs to help make the environment feel alive.

Current NPC wildlife includes: • Chicklets • Rabbits • Turtles • Deer

NPCs now make random sounds throughout the world, allowing players to track them naturally through audio.

Paired Animations Paired interactions are now functioning for multiple species.

Current paired animations include: • Deer sparring with Deer • Moose sparring with Moose • Wolves pouncing/latching Deer • Tigers pouncing/latching Deer • Wolves and Tigers can now also interact with NPC Deer

Movement Rework Movement has been significantly reworked and should feel much smoother and more fluid compared to previous builds.

Water Improvements Specific species are now capable of diving underwater depending on the animal.

Progression System Leveling, XP, and questing systems are now fully live.

Players can now: • Complete quests • Earn currency • Unlock skins • Progress through levels

Progression Balancing Currency progression has been heavily rebalanced due to exploits allowing players to gain currency far too quickly.

Changes include: • Skin prices increased to 4500 currency • Currency earned per level reduced • Questing is now intended to be the primary method of unlocking skins

Stat Balancing Overall animal balancing has been updated across the board.

Changes include: • Stats now scale properly with age • Hunger drain adjusted • Thirst drain adjusted • Overall survival balancing improvements

Grouping System Grouping icons have now been added to improve team coordination and help players locate group members easier.

Audio Overhaul Audio systems have received major improvements.

New additions include: • Full 3D positional animal audio • Adult calls • Juvenile calls • Improved environmental immersion

Please keep in mind some audio assets are still temporary placeholders while we continue sourcing and refining higher quality animal sounds.

Visual & Lighting Improvements Additional visual polish and lighting adjustments have been made throughout the map to improve atmosphere and readability.

Map Size Version Two will initially launch with a smaller map while player population grows. Larger maps will release once the server population properly supports expanded environments.

Fish NPCs Carnivores can now hunt and consume fish NPCs throughout the world.

Thank you to everyone continuing to stress test, provide feedback, report bugs, and support development. This update is focused on building a stronger foundation for Untamed Kingdom moving forward.
