Unnamed Space Idle changes
This patch includes new sectors and a new galaxy and various other changes. One of the more major changes is a rework to the start of the Splice system. Splice has been a system people struggle to fully understand since the very start, hopefully these changes will improve that. There are no changes if you already had Splice unlocked though.
New content
Sectors up to 166, new Galaxy unlocks after Reintegration
Changes
Spliced crew got new tutorial and initial set of unlocks to improve onboarding (no change if you already unlocked it)
Added AI upgrade for Strata Growths to automatically switch to next when capped
Added AI Upgrade for fleet to auto spend Instability
Titan Array now has optional type indicators for elements
Improved turret targeting when barriers are involved
Fleet battles that are undone will still deploy the ships you used before if nothing else is available
Fleet battles that have a previous clear that is too expensive to deploy now still deploy it but you can't start the battle
Combat Amp can now absorb 1 stray hit every 10 seconds and charges slightly faster
Added a push reminder setting for tether warps
Switched 150+ shards to all come from colossal instead of smaller ships
Removed 2 of the more egregious galaxy achievements
Fleet upgrades will now be auto purchased once you max the artifacts in a galaxy
Sector saves now occur for Veil Region clears also
Splice Onboarding improvements
Completely new tutorial and initial set of unlocks to improve onboarding
Removed swapping of Aspects, they now both start available
Acclimation has been renamed Resistance
Automation locked until initial onboarding finished and got its own tutorial
Fixes
Fixed module queue estimates
Fixed base 6 being in awkward spot post 150 if you did not fully unlock the final upgrades
Fixed some late game acclimation rate upgrades not taking effect immediately
Fixed late game wonky life bar size on exit fleet
Fixed Deflector shield not loading for loadouts
Fixed typos
Changed "Toggle Auto Buy All" in Reactor Overdrive to disable all if mixed settings
Other minor fixes
Fixed edge case in Compute Challenge, not generating any salvage
Fixed achievements sometimes loading twice
Fixed crash if retrofitting to non-Titan ship in non-Surface layer
What's next
I want to keep a decent cadence to these content patches, but there are 2 VERY big non content related patches on the horizon that miiiiiiiiiiiiiiight futz that up a bit.
The first is the MASSIVE mobile UI rework that doesn't have much relevance to steam players but will add some new help stuff that should be quite nice!
After that is a smaller ui update for PC that will just smooth some roughness and introduce some "Im a real 1.0 game now" things like a main menu, save slots, music etc.
Then its more content and a full 1.0 patch!
