The Chess Variants Club

Nice to see you here.

My name is Raphael and I am the Creative Director at Minimol Games. For a long time I've been trying to create "game-like chess experiences" I'd love to play.

All started with the Zen Chess Series, then Knight Swap, Hang The Kings, Unlock The King... and, most recently, Knight's Retreat.

Now is time to bring to reality our biggest project to date: The Chess Variants Club.

I am a great enthusiast of minimalist design, and I am very happy with the ambience we are creating to this game.

And as a chess player I am very happy to create a game mostly (but not solely) based on famous Chess Variants.

There are several incredibly interesting chess variants I believe everyone should play at least once!

And if it is worthy playing, it is certainly worthy playing in a minimalist, beautifully designed chess board. That is exactly what we are aiming for in this game.
