Massive Update Launches for Free on September 24!!

On September 24, a massive update is coming to UNDERWARD! The update is titled: 『UNDERWARD: LASTBOSS, Genius Gyaru Doctor』!!

This update, which adds the new mode “CHAOS,” is packed with so much content that you might think: “Isn’t this basically a new release?”

◆ New Mode: “CHAOS”

“CHAOS” is a clear-type mode consisting of 6 floors. In addition to the existing abandoned hospital, three new maps with multiple variations—“Abandoned Building,” “Factory,” and “Cyberpunk”—will be added, appearing randomly during play. Steam post imageSteam post imageSteam post image

And at the very last floor… a “final boss” is said to be waiting!

◆ A Play Experience of Both Tension and Laughter

This update especially emphasizes the B-movie horror panic vibe, while also adding plenty of party-game-style elements where everyone can laugh and go wild together. Steam post image

Many new enemies, quirky funny items, and unique mechanics have been added, making strategies and ways to enjoy the game increase dramatically! (approx. +200% compared to before)

◆ Rule Customization Feature

To make the game enjoyable for a wider range of players, we’ve added the ability for players to customize game rules. You can go for lighthearted fun with settings like “Respawn: Infinite” & “Time Limit: Long,” or go hardcore with punishing settings like “Enemy Respawn Time: Short” and “Rescue Time: None” to push the limits of challenge. ※ This rule customization feature is also available in the default mode. ◆ Free Update! But We Need to Adjust the Price…

Despite the massive scale, this will be released as a completely free update!! …However, since it’s such a huge amount of content, we will be adjusting the base game price on Steam after the update. (The DLC price will be lowered so that bundle pricing remains unchanged.) ※ We kindly ask for your understanding, as this is part of what allows us to continue developing the game.
