New Content

Lunar Sorceress Minerva

  • Mineva, a powerful sorceress from the Lunarum, comes to the Undermine! After making a startling discovery deep within the Sanctum, she succumbs to a potent curse and awaits her rescue within the Duskfall.

  • Minerva fights with powerful Lunar Magic and is able to leech mana back from her foes in order to cast offensive arcana with devastating results

Bestiary

  • The Bestiary has been added to the journal. Players can view stats, strengths, and weakness of each enemy, along with other information such as your kill count and charm count against that enemy

  • The Bestiary also shows the stats of your charmed followers such as their current health, mana and combat stats, as well as their kill count

  • Followers can also be renamed in the Bestiary. Once renamed, a follower’s name will appear above its health bar so that you can keep track of them

Journal Improvements

  • Along with the Bestiary, the journal has been further improved with:

  • Sorting features on both the Items page as well as the Bestiary (for example, index sorting will group similar items together

  • Progression tracking of item unlocks and their gilded state (whether you have completed a run with them or not)

  • Better indication of the currently selected item

  • An option to toggle tooltips to better observe the grid

  • New tab icons

The Orrey

  • The Orrey becomes a true landmark in the Sanctum! Once per run, you can use the Orrery to gift a relic to a Steam friend. Gifted items will appear in your Canary Mail. In order to send and receive relics, both players must be connected to the UnderMine cloud (check your Cloud settings in the Options menu).

Other Changes:

  • Added a new “Text Style” option to the Options menu, which allows you to choose between “Classic” and “Modern” fonts (only available in certain languages). Modern will render the game’s text with a more flexible, non-rasterized font that scales much better at lower resolutions than the Classic pixel font. This should make text much more legible on Steam Deck

  • Added a cutscene when Wayland’s Miniforge upgrade becomes available (This upgrade is now available after Beltrame has been rescued and Thimble Thicket has been discovered)

  • Created new icons for Vendor In a Bottle, Insatiable, Defiance, Bent Coil, and Brass Raptor

  • Arcana that can be used offensively have been tagged with “Martial” to be used with Minerva’s Lumina upgrade

  • Bul's attacks now do physical damage instead of explosive damage

  • Grotesque now gives 100% resistance to Explosive damage. Gargoyle enemies remain unchanged (you can still easily kill them with bombs when they are in Stoneform)

  • Removed summon items from Baggledag's arcana table to reduce fight spam

  • Master Pickaxe projectiles now autoaim and are considered a “melee hit” for the purposes of proccing “on melee hit” items

  • Added some new Character Unlock UI for making it more obvious when you’ve unlocked a new playable character

  • Turned off some hit vfx from certain props that don’t take physical damage from projectiles, but were unnecessarily playing vfx

  • Added a little visual juice to the Pause menu

  • Artifacts will now be automatically added to your Canary Mail if you've seen them but not unlocked them. This will fix a few players who failed to pick up Unconditional Love, the Roost Key, or the Grim Emblem, since you don't have another opportunity to get those if you fail to pick them up the first time

  • Update the game project to Unity 6000.0.76f1. Modders can now safely update to this version as well to enjoy a fix to the sprite loading bug

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a display issue for Upgrades in the Journal

  • You can no longer swap or cycle any ActivatedItemInventory (Bombs, Arcana, Potions) while the active item is executing. This closes a hole that would allow you to get free arcana casts by switching arcana while one of them was channeling (e.g. Philosopher’s Stone)

  • Fixed an issue with Witching Rod that would make it try to refill the mana of any allied entity (including Projectiles and other things that probably didn’t even have mana)

  • Added the Elemental subtag to Dark damage

  • Fixed several issues around Cutscene transitions into other Cutscenes

  • Fixed a bug preventing Outgoing resource modifiers from working correctly.
