Repeated intro

Hey folks,

What changed

0 fixes1 addition3 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • UI and audio
addedAs for the changes, the game now has a tutorial! Obviously this was always planned, but I decided to bring it forward as some people were getting a bit lost and never even getting to the meat of the game. Now there's a pretty nice on-ramp to help get to grips with the flow of things and how to navigate and make progress when starting out.
changedThere's been countless other improvements too. The early game has been sped up a lot, tutorial or not. Sound effects are making their way in now. WAY more feedback and juice when playing cards and attacking. The UI is just about finished.

Just a wee progress update on Uncivilized!

Playtests with newsletter subscribers have been going really well, and the feedback from that has led to a bunch of great changes! If you want in, go here and subscribe. If you’re already in, make sure the game is up to date! Otherwise I'll soon open up public playtesting on Steam, but we're not quite there yet.

The main items on my checklist before public playtesting are:

  • Better rival turn animations and feedback

  • Improved visuals

  • Full sound effects

  • Music

Once that's all done with and we've had some more rounds of playtesting, I can finally flesh out the factions properly and work on the end game. And soon after that, a demo!

Cheers

Dan
