Repeated intro

Hey! I’m sorry because this is a bad news announcement. I hate writing these and you hate reading them but I promise we’ll get through this together.

What changed

0 fixes1 addition2 changes0 removals
  • Performance
  • Gameplay
changedI want to be very transparent about why this delay is happening: this time it’s not anything game breaking…it’s just not running as well as we want it to be. It’s chugging in some scenes and it detracts from the experience. And, especially given how much work we’ve done over the last few months to smash bugs and improve performance on both PC and console branches, we really don’t want to put a bad foot forward here. Both for you and us, frankly! I’m sure you get that.
changedThis isn’t the outcome anyone wanted, obviously, but I want to be clear that D-CELL ourselves (as well as Playstack!) pushed for this delay internally after reviewing how the port’s performance was coming along. We’ll be working closely to try to get the experience to a solid high frame rate.
addedWe’ll let you know when the new release date is as soon as we know. It shouldn’t be that long, but given cert timelines it’s hard to give an estimate. I know this is disappointing! This sucks, actually! But it would suck way more (again, both for you and us) if it came out and didn’t run well, especially all these months after launch.

A bit under a month ago, we announced that the Jamie Paige Content Companion was going to arrive on July 27th.

That’s still happening!

However, we said that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game would come out simultaneously with that, and that isn’t happening. The Switch 2 version of the game is being delayed for a short bit. We don’t have a release date quite yet.

Keep in mind, by the way, that this really only affects the digital launch; physical should still be coming alongside the other console versions of the game!

I know you’ve all looked forward to the Switch 2 launch. You’ll just be looking forward for a little longer.
