Soundtrack Preview

When my music inspiration hits (this time it was 2 am) I am composing the soundtrack for Ultranova in parallel with the development. My main musical inspiration comes from games and the demo scene back in the 90s with uplifting melodies, transforming leads, and blending the old retro age of chip music with modern elements.

Some of my influences through the years have been many of the iconic pieces of music by Chris Huelsbeck, including the epic Turrican soundtracks, as well as amiga mods like Space Debris by Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen, demo scene music, and Space Synth acts like Bellatrix, Lightsaber, Galaxion, Marco Rochowski, and Macrocosm.

I'm doing all the game design, programming, art, and music for Ultranova myself, but part of me is really curious about contacting the artists above (and more on my list) to see if I can commission additional tracks from them, but I will need to build some more awareness for Ultranova or save that for a future DLC mission pack before any plans like that could be done :)
