Repeated intro

Hey Everyone,

What changed

1 fix5 additions0 changes0 removals
  • Performance
  • Maps
  • Gameplay
fixedFix crashes on startup and during gameplay.
addedAdd more levels/maps.
addedAdd more weapons and pickups.
addedAdd more game modes.
addedAll extra content will be added as paid DLC so we can try to make some money and support our development efforts.
addedOne of the big questions/concerns players are having is that the player model and weapons are not visible from the first person view. This was actually done on purpose to increase playability and competition. The player model and weapons were taking up a lot of screen real estate and getting in the way of the gameplay in my opinion. But yeah, we are thinking about adding them back just to reduce confusion but that may or may not happen.

Just wanted to give a quick update on Ultimus and try to answer some questions and concerns raised in our community discussion and reviews.

First off, Ultimus has been doing much better than expected in terms of traction and player base. In the first week, over 4,000 people have played the game with over 30 reviews. There are anywhere from 5 to 10 players playing Ultimus concurrently at any one time. These are amazing numbers and we are super proud of them.

Here's our current plan:

  1. Fix crashes on startup and during gameplay.

  2. Add more levels/maps.

  3. Add more weapons and pickups.

  4. Add more game modes.

All extra content will be added as paid DLC so we can try to make some money and support our development efforts.

One of the big questions/concerns players are having is that the player model and weapons are not visible from the first person view. This was actually done on purpose to increase playability and competition. The player model and weapons were taking up a lot of screen real estate and getting in the way of the gameplay in my opinion. But yeah, we are thinking about adding them back just to reduce confusion but that may or may not happen.

Anyways, just wanted to share this update with everyone and let you know we will be continuing to work on the game since people seem to really be enjoying it.

Talk to you soon,

Big House Games Team
