UFDS Update: Gamepads, New Missions, etc.

You asked, we delivered!

Here's a new update with additional content and important gameplay and control improvements.

Four New Missions:

1. Basic. Mission with instructions on how to properly arm a drone.

2. Kamikaze. Mission with instructions on how to deploy a warhead and where are the hit zones of enemy equipment.

3. Bomber. Mission with instructions on how to deploy and drop a warhead.

4. Battleground. The goal of the mission is to destroy as many infantry as possible in the allotted time.

Improvements and New Features:

• Gamepads support: Xbox, DualShock, DualSense.

• PID tuning (G key).

• Automatic drone arming at zero throttle when using a controller.

• In-game hints (F1 key).

• Improved bot logic in the forest mission.

• Expanded hit zones for tanks, APCs, KamAZ trucks and MT-LB.

• Quick mission restart (Backspace key).

To support PS controllers (Dualshock and Dualsense), you need to go to Steam -> Settings -> Controller, and in the 'External gamepad settings' section, change the value of the 'Playstation controller support' option to 'Enabled', as in the screenshots:

! Note that if you disconnect your PS controller while the simulator is still active, it may crash. We are aware of this and are working on fixing this bug.

Before starting the simulator, when you first connect the PlayStation controller, go to the system sound output selection and select any output device except "Speakers (Wireless Controller)":

However, for the most authentic experience, we still recommend these RC controllers: Radiomaster Pocket, Zorro, TX12, TX16S, Boxer, or TBS Tango 2. Other controllers may feel different in ergonomics and response, which can slightly change how the drone handles and affect your transition to real-world (IRL) flying.
