There are definitely things that need to be improved and polished, and those are being worked on which is why this is in Early Access. Its encouraging to see players starting to escape and progress through some of the enhancements that are unlocked as you escape the dungeon.
changedCommon Issues Almost all of the issues with actually getting the game to run at this point are related to OpenXR and it not being configured correctly as far as the runtime used. Please review the discussion boards as there is some help in there for this. OpenXR is still having some kinks worked out and will only improve, but for most of the major headsets it seems to be working fine if it is setup correctly. I do recommend using the latest BETA of SteamVR as they tend to put the latest OpenXR fixes in there. I've seen some reports of people with Vive Pro 2 having problems, so if you fall in this category you might want to wait on purchasing. If you use a Vive Pro 2 and its working please let us know if you did anything special.
addedOther Improvements Once the big items are triaged, there will be enhancements to stealth mechanics and alertness which are a core part of the game. Today, the player has no indicator of alertness which is really what controls the likelihood of the SS being dispatched. An indicator will be added (likely to the tattoo on your wrist) that lets you know what this level is and it will be impacted by more things than it is today. It will also be less likely for the SS to be dispatched as long as this awareness value is low.
addedI will provide updates on other enhancements coming to prisoners, player biography, new rooms and traits in an upcoming news event.

Immediate Plans Right now the focus are major bugs and improving some immediate areas of the game based on initial feedback.

  • Additional Comfort Options

  • Bottle Physics

  • Improving some gun interactions

  • Enemy behavior regarding the player hiding to be more balanced and realistic

These changes will trickle in over the coming weeks.

Stalag I've had a few people ask if the dungeon appearing in greyscale (desaturated) was a bug. It's not a bug :) If you escape the first dungeon, the next dungeon you go into is supposed to look this way. It was intended to have an old WW2 movie vibe but red and some other colors are still used.
