Two Strikes changes
Hi everyone! We're excited to bring you the latest major update for Two Strikes. This patch includes numerous bug fixes and significant balance adjustments for many characters.
Starting with the bug fixes:
Musashi:
Unfortunately for Musashi, we ended up letting some pretty serious bugs escape, making him a nightmare to fight against and sometimes impossible to beat.
Defending his dash forward was not triggering a reaction from him, stopping the DF animation, basically allowing players to spam it until the match as over. Since it would not trigger perfect parries as well.
Musashi was not reacting to Yasuke's parry breaker ability.
Musashi's hurtbox was moving after some playtime, making him invulnerable after some time.
When Musashi dashes back, if he is too close to the opponent, then it would not move him back.
Now, more general bugs
Fixed Yasuke's walk animation hurtbox being moved forward and triggering unfair hits on him.
Fixed Ayai not hitting another Ayai with the second heavy attack if the attack was launched up close.
Fix bug where Kenji, after being perfectly parried, was not being punished by quick attacks like Ayai's light attack.
Extended Goemon’s kunai hurtbox backwards to make sure that characters too close to him get hit by it.
Fixed when Dash Forward attacks generated a clash, the clash would repeat.
(Offline only) Fix parry input not taking precedence over moving.
(Online only) Removed the ability of Ayai to cancel their light attacks.
(Online only) Fixed the direction of the Blood VFX when Musashi died.
(Online only) Fixed that some characters were not triggering a second VFX when getting the second hit, like Tomoe.
(Online only) Fixed that the Shinigami didn’t have a lot of his sound effects online.
(Online only) Some character combinations would shift the initial position on the screen.
(Online only) Fixed the issue with joining rooms after changing regions once.
(Online only) Fixed hurtbox problems with Miyo and Shenyan
(Online only) Fixed that the Underground Arena and Secret Laboratory were not appearing online.
Balance Changes
This patch focuses on bringing some characters that are being considered lower tiers and making them more viable.
Hozoin
The old man is the one seeing more buffs this patch.
Perfect parry window increased by 1 frame.
Heavy Attack recovery is reduced by 5 frames.
Walking speed increased 10%.
Heavy feint sped up by 50%.
Musashi
The psycho samurai is seeing some nerfs on this patch.
Dash forward attack duration increased by 3 more frames at the end, making it less spammable.
Light attack is also seeing an increase in 3 more frames at the end.
Musashi cannot cancel his light attack anymore. It is a very fast attack that allows unfair mixups.
Walking speed
Baki
The strongest teenager alive is getting a good buff to his dodge.
Dodge animation is 3 frames faster now, allowing you to recover faster from it.
Kenji
This is the first time he is seeing nerfs in the game.
Light attack preparation is 3 frames slower now.
Light attack recovery is also 3 frames slower.
Kenji’s light attack has been a menace to the meta, being a great snipping tool.
Shenyan
Hozoin’s good old rival is also getting stronger, since he cannot even imagine losing to Hozoin.
Added 2 more rope spins to the heavy attack animation, allowing him to continue to get closer for longer, making it more difficult for opponents to simply move out of range.
Tomoe
Everybody’s favorite girl is getting nerfed yet again.
Added 6 frames to her heavy attack recovery, making sure she can be punished if players miss it.
Discord League
