Year 2025 Recap

It’s been a hard, yet beautiful year. Two people, working every day on the thing they love, with the hope people will love it too. Art, story, tones, voices… all mixed together into the game soup.

changedIt’s been a hard, yet beautiful year. Two people, working every day on the thing they love, with the hope people will love it too. Art, story, tones, voices… all mixed together into the game soup. I’ve changed many hats during this year, I’ve learned a lot. And the enthusiasm didn’t fade away. On the contrary - it’s stronger than ever.
changedThe game has almost 10 000 lines of code (excluding PowerQuest engine! - mostly it’s the content, e.g. Say X, WalkTo Y, PickUp Z 😃), 3 000 graphical assets (yikes! - includes multiple pngs for anims 🙂), 4 completed songs, 40 custom SFX, 600 lines of dialogue (now voiced!)
changedWe hired two voice actors (cheers Dan & Ciara!)
changedThe demo was redone three times - we’ve listened to your feedback! The interface was streamlined à la The Drifter (my fav game of 2025!), pacing sped up, left contextual click only, intuitive progression & (yet not easy!) puzzles. It’s full of anims, emotional & juicy.

And the reason is you - more than 300 people played a prototype of our game in three different conferences, and every single one of them loved it. This is why we do this. We love seeing the smile of others when they finish playing. And it gives us strength to continue, motivation and joy. So - thank you.

Here are a few highlights of the year 2025 for us:

  • We were covered in many independent media (Score magazine, Vortex vidcast, Honza Modrák podcast and others), attended GameDev Connect, Dny AI and GDS Prague conferences.

  • We’ve gathered almost 3 500 wishlists. Who-hoo!

  • I streamed the on various occasions, e.g. during the CZ/SK Games Week - thousands of people watched us!

  • The game has almost 10 000 lines of code (excluding PowerQuest engine! - mostly it’s the content, e.g. Say X, WalkTo Y, PickUp Z 😃), 3 000 graphical assets (yikes! - includes multiple pngs for anims 🙂), 4 completed songs, 40 custom SFX, 600 lines of dialogue (now voiced!)

  • The demo was translated by volunteers from English into Czech, Polish, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese

  • We hired two voice actors (cheers Dan & Ciara!)

So, as you can see - it was indeed an intensive year! And we have more to come. At first, we’ll release the polished-to-gleam demo to you all! Second, we’ll join Steam Next fest, and be in many more places where you can see us, talk to us. And finally, we’ll work hard on the rest of the game, so we can bring it to you at the end of 26 / start of 27.

For now, we’ll take a break, enjoy Christmas, and get back to it next year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!
