addedOver the last couple of weeks, we've been importing and implementing new characters, techniques, animations, and combat content. This stage took longer than expected, but a lot of the update has now moved from preparation into fully working in-game content.
removedWhen only one enemy remains, offensive actions no longer make you select an obvious target. It's a small change, but it removes a lot of pointless clicking and makes battles move noticeably faster.
changedOffensive magic has been expanded as well. Spells now provide secondary effects instead of only dealing damage: freezing can slow enemies, burning leaves damage over time, and other elements come with their own benefits.
changedElemental reactions are now much clearer during combat. When an enemy is weak against, resistant to, or able to absorb an element, the result is displayed immediately when the attack lands. Boss fights have also been expanded with proper phases. As a boss loses health, its behavior and attack patterns can change, making the fight evolve instead of simply repeating the same actions until the health bar is empty.
changedWe've also capped the frame rate at 120 FPS by default. This should stop powerful GPUs from rendering hundreds of unnecessary frames and heating up your PC for no real benefit.
addedAlongside all of that, we've been fixing bugs and polishing the new systems, characters, and techniques.

Over the last couple of weeks, we've been importing and implementing new characters, techniques, animations, and combat content. This stage took longer than expected, but a lot of the update has now moved from preparation into fully working in-game content.

We've also taken the opportunity to improve the general flow of the game.

When only one enemy remains, offensive actions no longer make you select an obvious target. It's a small change, but it removes a lot of pointless clicking and makes battles move noticeably faster.

Offensive magic has been expanded as well. Spells now provide secondary effects instead of only dealing damage: freezing can slow enemies, burning leaves damage over time, and other elements come with their own benefits.

Elemental reactions are now much clearer during combat.

We've also capped the frame rate at 120 FPS by default. This should stop powerful GPUs from rendering hundreds of unnecessary frames and heating up your PC for no real benefit.

Alongside all of that, we've been fixing bugs and polishing the new systems, characters, and techniques.

The update is taking longer than we originally hoped, but we're now moving through the final stretch: balancing, cutscenes, polish, bug fixing, and making sure everything works properly together.

Thank you for waiting and for continuing to remind us that the Church is calling :}

More soon.
