During the demo period, after reviewing player feedback, we found that many players expected crouching to be the primary way to avoid entities.

Originally, crouching was designed as a different type of avoidance mechanic used in other stages.

However, based on this natural expectation, we have adjusted crouching to function as an avoidance method for the Aquarium map.

Crouch (Tuck into Your Shell)

Crouching consumes stamina over time.

It makes you hard to spot.

It does not work if you’ve already been detected.

Hiding Spots

Hiding under objects (such as benches) makes you untargetable.

Even if you’ve been detected, the enemy cannot catch you while you are hidden.

You can also escape by getting far enough away and hiding behind objects to break line of sight.

Summary

Crouch is for avoiding detection and does not work against enemies that have already detected you.

Hiding spots can be used to escape after detection.
