Turbo Fat changes
This release focuses on game balance and a few usability tweaks!
Bugs
Added workaround for some crashes after puzzles.
Extra logging to help diagnose crash causes.
Career Mode progress board is aligned for all resolutions.
Fixed a few gamepad/keyboard navigation issues.
Resolved issue in "The Last ¥100" where the onion didn't appear in some cases.
I've fixed a few minor keyboard/gamepad navigation issues which forced players to use the mouse on a few screens. This release also includes a few fixes targeting the crashes affecting some users, so please keep those reports coming! The Windows version includes a debug launcher, turbofat-troubleshoot.bat. If the game still crashes for you, running it through this launcher will log detailed info to a console to give me some extra info. It really helps!
Improvements
Holding the skip button now skips choices in cutscenes.
Cutscenes can now be advanced with the mouse.
Game Balance
Adjusted grading scales for all levels; high ranks are easier, low ranks are harder.
Decreased difficulty of levels: "Fruit Salad", "No Smoking Section 2".
Easier grading for training levels.
Easier grading for particularly difficult levels: "Back To Back", "Serving On A Rocket", others.
My original philosophy for the grading scale was that the highest 'SSS' and 'Master' grades should be for absolutely flawless play, but it feels a little unfun to have the grading be that strict so I've loosened it up a little. This was especially noticeable for the training levels, and a few of the more brutal levels in the bonus content.
Additionally, I wanted to pat novices on the back and give them good grades for low scores -- but based on community feedback, I was overdoing it a little! So I've raised the scoring requirements for the lowest grades.
