addedWe have added a new intro to the game.
addedThe whole assignment system is updated, and this demo is the first that uses this new system. We managed to keep the Chinese localization of the demo, while rewriting a lot of the functionality.
addedThe in-game menu has gotten some new icons, and we took out the menu background since it took too much focus.

Our existential themed visual novel Truer than You is part of Steam Next Fest! Truer than You is about the search for meaning in a capitalist society - set in a microcosm where commodified relationships, tech bros, climate activists, bored housewives and undercover artists are all in the mixture - portrayed with comic book style graphics and a bubble gum pastel palette.

For the Next Fest, we have updated the demo - the updates are listed below.

Demo updates:

  • We have added a new intro to the game.

  • The rating given by clients is now shown in the assignment details in the in-game app, and the mean rating is shown on the app’s starting page.

  • The whole assignment system is updated, and this demo is the first that uses this new system. We managed to keep the Chinese localization of the demo, while rewriting a lot of the functionality.

  • The in-game menu has gotten some new icons, and we took out the menu background since it took too much focus.
