Trek changes
What's really happening
2 Months ago when I decided to work on the UI/Visual update for this game, things have changed. And I decided to do the biggest update for this game yet. When I released this game, I thought it was ready but it was far from ready. And after all the updates I have done for the game, it wasn't enough. So I stopped adding, and though about changing. This update could be what saves this game, so here is what's coming up in this Grand Update. This is the breaking point for Trek.
Major Changes
Horse rework. I had a lot of feedback saying that the Horse feels very light, and boring. Which I agree with, so I completely changed the Horse to be something special in this game. As going around the world is one of the biggest charms in this game, so I had to make a Horse that elevates the experience of traveling in the world. The Horse now feels heavier, and the entire movement is changed. Its now truly fun to ride the Horse around, and not to mention that the Horse will also be having a part in combat as well.\\
Enemy Combat Rework, I have not yet started on this rework, but my plans for it are already big. The Combat in the game will now feel completely different, enemies will behave different. Groups of enemies will behave different, and so will the bosses. But Mainly focused on normal enemies. This Rework alone is bigger than anything I ever done before, including the External Quests Update.
UI Overhaul, every UI in the game has been worked on to look better and smoother. Fixing some scaling issues as well. The Player HUD has also been changed looking better in every way. Adding more icons than text, status/effects will be visible as icons, Even those affected by enemies. There is a lot of things to mention for this one, but basically UI is better.
Better Visual Guidance, players found it hard to find weapons, items, or even NPCS in the game. So this change is for important things to look clearer or be highlighted in the game. Quests, animations, and other things as well.
Shield Rework, Another big change is the Shield. The Shield always acted like a passive, but now its both a passive and active. Adding a touch to combat.
Better Story Guidance, This change is hard to describe at the moment, but basically the story is now clearer and better as well.
World Changes, Some areas in the world needs some changing, including the monkey kingdom, and black forest. The Black Forest terrain doesn't feel as special so its gonna be turned over to a brand new area, with many unique stuff to it. Like the Hound Hunt coming for the game.
Better Prologue, the prologue felt like the weakest point for this game, the beginning in general. Players are not felt like they are given a clear intro to the story, and so that's what will be done.
Major New
3 New Horses, as I did the Horse rework, I had an idea of adding more Horses to the game, and each Horse will have it's own unique abilities and passives. This adds a really amazing touch to the Horse rework.
New Horses Quests, and with each new Horse, there will be a new Quest. Giving a unique way to unlock them instead of just buying them.
New side story line, A new side story line will be added to the game, which will be called "Revenge of the Spirits". The story line has not yet be clear if its gonna be in the same world or a new one.
New Characters side quests, new quests for each NPC in the game, and doing these quests will benefit you when interacting with that NPC.
New activities in the world, new mini activities will be added to the world, so the world doesn't feel as empty.
Possible Changes
These are changes that are being though of, but might not be added in this update.
Bow rework, the bow always felt like it needed a rework since the beginning of the game, but since there are only 3 common-rare bows in the game, I never seen it as a major thing the game needed at the moment. So its being though of, but it might happen if the Grand Update succeeds, and I add more bows (epic-legendary) into the game.
Weapons level up mechanic, this change is yet being studied to added it or not. The change is that each weapons will have its own level, and with each level up either increasing it's abilities are unlocking passives for it.
Character's side story lines, this change is the least that might be added, especially this update.
Current status of the update
Currently the update is about 50%, the biggest change yet to be worked on is the "Enemy combat rework" which will take the longest time.
Soon a video will release talking about the Horse Rework, be ready! As I have not yet lost hope.
