Trek changes
PATCH 1.0.3
this patch is the biggest patch till now. This patch improves the game in many ways, gameplay wise, player experience wise, content wise. I will be putting in details everything new in this patch.
Gameplay
New Quick Menu
The new Quick Menu is the biggest improvement on the combat/gameplay. It offers a whole new way of combat with dynamically change weapons and create countless combos with legendary weapons.
In this new Quick Menu you will have 5 slots. First 2 slots are for right handed equipment (Swords, large axes, staffs, etc.) The third slot is for left handed equipment (Shields) The last 2 slots are for potions. The player can then equip the weapons using the default keys (2,3,4,5,6) or keys the player chooses. If you equip a weapon and you already hold a weapon, it will be put in place of the weapon you took. for exmp, you have a sword with your hand and an axe in slot 1. When you press the key, now the axe is in your hand and the sword is in slot 1.
The player doesn't need to press G anymore (unless he wants to) to put back the weapons in hand to equip another weapon.
if you already have a save ingame, drop the items and retake them from the inventory so that the quick menu options are updated to the items.
Enhanced Movement
A little improvement in gameplay is the enhanced movement. Where now the player and the horse accelerate at a much higher speed. And so now the momentum in combat is much smoother.
Player Experience
Player Experience is a big factor in Trek, where the player should have a smooth gameplay. I listened, and i acted.
Compass
The biggest issue the players had, is that the navigation around the world is difficult. (Since there is no player marker on the map) So i decided to add a compass (both on player HUD and Map) to help the player navigate through the world. Though note that the compass is still under experiment and might not be fully accurate and potentially be updated in the future.
As well three more bridges are added to sentrum
Horse
Some of the players were losing their horses a lot, and so now you can whistle for your horse. The horse will make a loud sound heard from a fair distance letting the player know where it is.
The player can now open the inventory and materials tab while being on the horse. As well open the quests and game info from the pause menu.
Quest Tracker
Some players where having an issue on what to do next, and so a Quest Tracker has been added to the game. The Quest Tracker tells the player what to do next and keeps track of progression.
The Quest tracker will be ON by default but it can be turned OFF by pressing N or by opening the quests menu.
The Quest Tracker will be showing quests in the order it is set in the quests menu. If there are no more quests to do, the Quest Tracker will turn off automatically. You might see the Quest Tracker sometimes popup and go away (if there are no more quests) That's just the Tracker detecting if there is quests to do or if it is on or off.
New Content
Some players had an issue where they though that the map is "too empty" And not much to do between Quests. And so some new stuff are added all over the world.

The Prodigy Difficulty
Introducing the new difficulty, with a series of achievements. The Prodigy Difficulty has its own 8 Achievements. In this difficulty everything is the same as the normal one, but you cannot craft any equipment except the pickaxe and tree chopper. (You will be able to craft potions)
